Got to collect a back axle for my berlingo this morning. typical summer weather tippling down with rain. taking seats out of mini to accommodate it and was struggling with seat backs thanks for posting this , saved me blowing my top lol.
Very useful video. I had to pull the seats and the trim to drill out the rusted bolts that hold the muffler bracket. I got the four bolts drilled out. (Only cost 17 bits :). You've definitely made a difference in the life of our R50 Mini with your video. I'll add in stainless steel bolts and the car will be good for another 20+ years.
Thanks for posting this. The TIS manual doesn't say anything about the bolt in the back that latches both seat-backs down and it misses the point on the side where the seat-backs have to be rotated to align with the slot.
I successfully got mine out today too because of your video! I need to remove the inside rear quarter panel, but there’s a lighter socket in there so how do I remove the lighter socket?
Thanks! Just what I was looking for. I will be removing my rear seat backs to make room for storing a travel mountain bike and luggage on my R52 for a cross country trip.
Great video. You make it look easy. I managed to do it and I’m a 70 year-old lady in TX.
Thanks for watching, glad it was helpful

Very helpful! Was stuck trying to figure out how to release the centre bracket and the Haynes manual was no use. Thanks!
No problem glad it helped

Does removing the bracket between the backrests reduce the strength of the crossbeam it’s attached to?
No
Thank you so much!!
You're welcome!

Put your hand up inside the access panel below and pinch together the little clips on the lighter sock and pull from front
Thanks!
No problem!
