Malaysia - apart from the humidity, we love it! Both East & West Malaysia. The friendliest people and tastiest food! SHOCKINGLY GREAT bureaucracy, after our horrendous experiences in Portugal. Wonderful healthcare, also.
We love being back. In 2019 we spent more than 3 months all over Malaysia but have not yet been in Melaka for this long. Malaysia is one of those countries where everything feels 'easy'.
Sincerely just wanna ask how and what makes you really want to visit Malaysia? Is it accidental? Or thru words of mouth? I'm curious because it's just a small country unlike Indonesia. What's so special that makes you searching for it
@@zaidarazak2838 from us - we have visited Malaysia since 1995. Penang, KL, Melaka, Langkawi, Sarawak. We have always enjoyed the hospitality of the people, excellent food, beaches, jungles, nature, culture and safety. We are happy most people speak English. We are learning some Malay and I can ask for some dishes in Malay. We feel it is a tropical home - we are retired, pay for our own medical costs and will never cost the Malaysian people. We have our pension.
@@tinglestingles wow you've been here since 90s. nice to hear that😊 I'm pretty sure you've experienced a lot of changes happened in the country. Anyways, have a pleasant stay here in M'sia.
Both of you have such a calm effect on me as I soak in your experiences. Never an overselling demeanor which makes your journey honest and “felt”. Great to hear of your enjoyment in Malaysia with many more heartfelt serendipitous moments to happen.
So good to see you have arrived safely in Malaysia but sorry to hear you've been poorly, hope you're recovering now. We are motorhomers based in the UK and have been watching your channel for over a year now but are really looking forward to following your new travels without Milli as find you such interesting and fun people. Good luck and enjoy every day. Thank you from Sheila and Mike
Hi Sheila and Mike! 😃 Thanks for your comment! We're both much better again now and we've been enjoying the change here in Malaysia. All the best to you!
That was a very nice vlog, you both popped up on my timeline (wild guess: I live in Malaysia...) and subscribed. Great video, very entertaining. Welcome to Malaysia, hope you will have a good time here and show more of this content. 🙂 Btw, if you happen to visit KL and are in front of the Petronas Towers, slight turn to the left and you'll see another 'twin towers', linked by a bridge, called Le Nouvel: I will wave at you both from our window, as that's where we live.
Nice video! Welcome to Melaka... Just a suggestion: you may order normal toast bread with kaya, half boiled eggs and kopi (coffee)/ teh tarik for breakfast (not too heavy) in Kopitiam/Cafe. When you are in Melaka: try cendul, hainanese chicken rice ball ....
Thanks for reminding me the great Abu Dhabi mosque. It was amazing. I took the same offer from Etihad, stopped over at Abu Dhabi when i enroute to Switzerland from KL. Any plan to come over Sabah the Malaysian Borneo if you like nature. Enjoy your time in South East Asia.
Really looking forward to your Malaysia travels. Can you please do me a favour (s) when you're out eating. If you could show my favourite foods Char Keoy Teow, Chicken laksa, and rotis with fish-head curry, that'd be great. I used to live and work on the Air Force base opposite Penang Island. Thanks.
WOW Welcome back to Malaysia and enjoy your trip... somehow now till early Feb still the monsoon season and some part of the country may flooding that may could limit your movements... hope not so..
Sorry to find you guy's not feeling to good on the start of your new adventure without Milli 😢 I'm watching 👀 from my hospital bed, I have flu and pneumonia, but I'm on the mend now. Watching you guy's is the best medicine. 👍🐸
Oh no! Hopefully you're much better soon! We're just getting back to normal now. The time difference and climate played a big roll for us this time. Guess that's inevitable after so long in Europe 😁
Do visit the oldest functioning church of st peter in Melaka, built in 1710 and is over 300 years old. It's the oldest church in malaysia Singapore and thailand
Apologies. We switch off the AI dubbing but for some reason French remained published. Our default setting is to have it turned OFF and we do the subtitles manually.

😁 🏎
it was very lucky! 😁❤️
next time you go back to pick up Milli and before you hit the road dont forget to fix that oil leak properly.
It's on the list. 😋We have to replace the oil pan before then next inspection - which is due in March. There's a lot on the list..
Check out Suukee Satay which is close by.
Yes! Thank you.

We fell in love with Char Keoy Teow when we stayed in Penang 5 years ago. Found a good one at the night market in Melaka this weekend!
WOW Welcome back to Malaysia and enjoy your trip... somehow now till early Feb still the monsoon season and some part of the country may flooding that may could limit your movements... hope not so..
Thanks! 😃 Let's hope the rain treats us kindly. ☔
🍀💕Niiiice video! It made me miss indian food from my 25 years Home in India. Im sure you could ask to have the food less Spicy, I use to do that👍🏼🇩🇰🍀.
We sometimes do ask but I think their ideo of 'less spicy' is a bit different to ours 😋😁

I admire your normad life.❤
Thanks! It has its challenges. It's just life at the end of the day - just a bit different. But it's definitely never boring!
I suggest that you ask for thier signature dish and you try it.. mostly Malaysian can speak english except restoran staff who mostly are forigner
Thanks for the tip!
You should try something like rice ball in Melaka.

When you are ordering food in Malaysia tell the waiters to make it less spicey.
We sometimes forget to ask! 😁

Thanks Marc! When we looked back at photos we took 10 years ago from the same tower, none of the tall apartment blocks in that area existed.
Ah u r in melak. Meed memto introduce good food?
That would have been nice! Sadly we've left Melaka already!
@WeWillNomad have a safe trip!

The struggle of spicy food is real! 😂 What’s the hottest dish you’ve ever tried while traveling? I’m already sweating just watching you two! 🌶🔥
Sometimes we're caught by surprise. We've had some really spicy Nasi Campur but also seriously hot Rendang. 🥵
totally agree... always keep women out of the shops. welcome to malaysia!
If you can't stand spicy food, don't forget to ask the waiter to make all dishes not spicy..
We actually do like spicy food but just underestimate HOW spicy it can get. 😁
Do visit melaka and georgetown
Happy see you again. LISA NOT EAT SWEET CAKES.ONLY EAT CHILI. 😊😊😊
