I’ve ordered the Mc Crispy about four times since it was put on the menu hoping each time that it would be better the next time, and it has always been Mc Nasty. The meat is usually cooked too hard or dried up from sitting too long. I’m not sure what the problem is. They’re also stingy with the lettuce. I don’t eat beef, so that narrows my choices at Mickey D’s. However, I’ve given up on the McCrispy. Also, the classic McChicken doesn’t taste like it used to years ago.

Yes, I lived off of McChicken and McDouble and that 99 cent sweet tea when money was low. Now, even the sweet tea is 2 bucks. Same with Taco bell. Getting a meal at taco bell now costs more than the cost of the all you can eat buffet at Golden Corral. 9 bucks for mostly beans? Really? Back in the day that 99 cent Mexican Pizza was my survival food as well as the bean burrito and soft taco. But there's a hidden blessing y'all. After becoming overweight and diagnosed as pre-diabetic on all that "survival food", I have recently had to embrace eating lower carb healthy food and I find it is not that much more work. You can get a whole pack of 12 chicken parts for 7 0r 8 bucks at Walmart (wings, drumsticks, and thighs) and throw a couple pieces in the air fryer (375 for 30 min,) and that Chicken will be banging. Especially if you season it the night before. I can live a week on that. Also, Cabbage is still cheap and simple to prepare. I say let them keep their low quality proteins, hydrogenated fats, preservatives and excessive carbs. That stuff was killing us anyway! There's a lot of delicious, cheaper options still out there if if you travel. I bought my dad a bowl that will plug into his car and heat his soup or a sandwich . Pair that with a healthy wrap prepared with a low carb Tortilla, some deli meat or even some mashed pinto beans/refried beans and a little cheeese.and that is your inexpensive lunch on the run.

This is a good time to try some other options. I found out the little corner store in my neighborhood opened a cafe and they make the best burger I've ever had in this city. Plus Double cheeseburger, large fries and drink is 9$ even and you can hang out in a quiet shop, buy some bug spray and motor oil too. Same thing at Whataburger, which tastes like absolute tuchus lately, costs over 13$ and the dining area is noisy and hot from the fryers.
