There's a simple way of doing 2.3.2 on 31:00
Since this is Esterification. Compound F (The Alcohol) and the Carboxylic acid will be equal to the Ester. (Alcohol + Carboxylic Acid = Ester + Water)
Step 1: Use the general formula of Esters (Cn H2n 02) to find the molecular formula of the Ester. Which will be C6 H12 02.
Step 2: Use Esterification. We will use the number of carbons of the alcohol (4) and the Ester (6) to find the number of carbons of the Carboxylic acid. 4 + C = 6 . (C=2)
Step 3: Therefore the Carboxylic acid has 2 Carbons. Lastly we will use the general formula of Carboxylic acids (Cn H2n 02) to find it's molecular formula. (In the place of n put 2)
Final answer will be C2 H4 02.
