I think my favorite show was at the Fillmore East when they played there for a week, we went to four of the shows and they did an encore as usual , we would not let stop so they did another encore, and then smashed everything, and we still demanded more, and somehow the crew came out and started getting more amps and drums, i could not believe they were going to play more, and slowly Keith found claves and started Magic Bus, andd one by one they came out and played for another 20 minutes, and smashed everything for a second time, but what made it so so great it was the only time i saw Entwhistle actually join in, usually he just placed the bass down and stepped back, but this time he twirled the bass around and around and let it fly 15 feet into the air!----best show i ever saw, and i went to woodstock, and i'll die on that hill
i saw the Who perform Tommy maybe 5 times, it was always spectacular--and this is beautifully done!---the thing about the Who was that live they never did a slow blues, never a ballad that didn't erupt at some point, they sang like angels, and usually they destroyed everything at the end--it was like watching sex, war, sports all at the same time--at any bands peak i would choose the Who Live over any of them----Pete used the band like a weapon
