Thanks for the update! The cp with the new features comes closer to a complete instrument. The cutoff and resonance filters in the three sections for shaping the tone of sounds are unfortunately still missing.
Thanks for the Update. Ist there any possability to control an internal Sound only by an external midi Keyboard? My plan: Having e.g. an Piano on the Left Side of the cp88, a e Piano on the right Side of the split point and a synth on my external midi device. Thanks :)
Agreed. This is why people are jumping ship for Nord. They listen to their customers and care about meeting expectations. Yamaha promised frequent updates smh.
These companies tend to put better samples in digital pianos than the workstation synth keyboards like Montage M, Fantom, Motif XF, etc. Are you sure the Montage M best CFX Grand preset is comparable? I'm pretty sure CP88 makes Montage M sound dull and artificial to death at piano and a few other sounds.
What keybed would you prefer instead? The GHS (used in a majority of the stage-models) is definitely not as good as the actual BH5 of the CP73/YC73 or the NW-GH3 of the CP88/YC88…
@kalletjaben-jazz-funk-soul-key nothing could be worst than this CP73 kebed. So cheap. What else ? RH3 made in japan for Kronos 73. it's a keybed and not a toy. Fatar TP40L of my Kurzweil Forte 7. It's a professionnal keybed, not a toy. In other hand, fatar is not always good. I bought 2 studiologic SL73, and they both had big issues as my 2 CP73. Very dfficult to find reliable keybed. CP73 keybed is a joke. Look at technical diagrams and you'll see what I mean. Of course if you play soft at home to entertain your family, you shouldn't have any problems. But CP73 is a stage piano. On stage, we play with drummers and guitarists. We play classical pieces, but also rock n' roll. Pro keybed must be reliable. Wooden keybed of my Yamaha CP4 is the best I ever had. Very nice to play and no issues after years and years of use (appart the rubbers that I replaced) .. Yamaha motif 8 classic : I replaced broken keys very often. Such a shame. But I could do it. With the CP73, you have to replace a "pack of keys" stuck together. I never tried. I was s upset that I got rid of this keyboard. (I was very uset because I love the sounds)
@kalletjaben-jazz-funk-soul-key easy, keybed of CP4 stage is a professionnal keybed, keybed of my kronos 2 73 made in japan is a professionnal keybed, keybed of my Kurzweill Forte7 (fatar) is a professionnal keybed. No issues with these keybed after intensives gig. The keybed of the CP73 is a toy. If you look at the technical diagram you'll see what I mean. This keybed can't fit professionnal use. It's ok to play in your living room.
@@arnaudchabo I mostly have exactly the same opinion about the keybeds you mentioned, but the keybed of the yc/cp 73 feels surprisingly good although it‘s not graded, especially when you need a compromise between rhodes/wurlitzer- and piano-sounds in a jazzy context.
@kalletjaben-jazz-funk-soul-key maybe you were lucky to buy a good CP73. I bought 2 of them. The both had broken keys after 6 month of use. And the both had a weird dynamic range (fortissimo didn't hapened smoothly) And again, the technical diagram can't lie. Trust me, this keybed is absolutely not the top of the brand.. I would love to tell the world that this keybed is good because I need a good stage keyboard, lightweighted, with the very good yamaha sounds. But it's not.
Disappointing. These may very well be great new features, but after all the waiting Yamaha had to know that CP owners were hoping for more from the next update. Even just a couple key new sounds would have gone a long way towards making us feel less forgotten. A missed opportunity, Yamaha.
thank for not forgetting the cp series
No new sounds:(
This is great to see. I had thought Yamaha had left us hanging on CP updates, so this gives me hope. Thanks!
Please add a "tap" function to adjust the tempo/effects! We've been waiting for this for years :)
Great to see the update, keep it up
Looking forward to the next YC update
Finally! Super excited, thank you Yamaha!
Waiting for the YC update
Finally! Thanks Yamaha!
Love it! I’ll be updating asap-
Thanks for the update! The cp with the new features comes closer to a complete instrument. The cutoff and resonance filters in the three sections for shaping the tone of sounds are unfortunately still missing.
That’s true, I hope Yamaha will add this as a assignable function in the pedal-section!
Nice. Now if only they could give me the organ update as in the YC series would be perfect
Get the YC it's awesome I have both
CP doesnt not have the organ engine. It would not be possible. You have to go for YC if you want the proper organ.
Still happy with the 2010 KAWAI MP10
It's still absolutely phenomenal
It was well over due,but no new sounds.

Please add more FM elecric pianos.
2.5 years and this is all they could've done? Come on...
那也比V1.5要好啊

Looking at a Korg Nautilus. Not thrilled much with Roland lately.😢
Agree. Ready for the cp88+ or II or plus 😅
YC88 isn't better? It supposedly outsells CP series pretty hard.
Very cool. Thank you.
I didn't know that CP didn't already come with these options. Glad I got YC instead
We need the new CFX sound that's on the Montage M v2.0.

I thought Yamaha would have added more New Piano Sounds,is OS v1.6 the very Latest Firmware Update.
♥️♥️♥️
É uma pena que aftertouch não dá para implementar via firmware
a bit of a catch-update. disappointed not to see the CP70 voice come to the CP line tbh
Next update, could you put something else than this cheap unreliable keybed in the CP73 ? Thks..

Really good improvements but way over due.
不喜欢V1.5,希望V1.6有喜欢的音色
