My great grandmother made it and the recipe you read (poem) is the one she used. Too funny! Thank God my mother also made her recipe which you have now made because I think Grama's was the reason why I ended up not liking pumpkin pie. 🤣🤣🤣

I remember the extra flavorful pumpkin pies in the nineties-too “spicy” in my opinion. I like the mellow flavor from the 60s & 70s. That was a lot of baking!
