Sarah, thank you for this video tutorial. I love it. I am a quilter and crocheter. I am loving this log cabin crochet tile. Purchased the pattern also. Thank you for the clear instructions in this video.
Oh wow!! Didn't know how easy these was to make. This is gonna become my next blanket pattern to make. I have alot of left over yarn that this is gonna be great for.
Hi dear, this is beautiful and i dont like the othr way the log cabin throw is made when i saw yours i fell in love and i immediately staryed and finished the first tile now i need to know what is nexy😅❤
Thank you! Oh, I really do choose them almost randomly, I just put together the colours I want for each square. For my first blanket, I really chose from the yarn I had at home 😅
@@HookloopsarahCrochet My opinion doesn't matter but the tradition of the log cabin design since its conception in quilting does, and this is a loose, maybe modernistic, maybe ignorant, maybe lazy, but very simplistic at best, interpretation of a log cabin design... but since your title in the thumbnail/pic reads "log cabin tile" I'll agree with that. It is a log cabin inspired tile...square. There are many interpretations and variations on the log cabin install inquilting and in crochet this one is rudimentary at best and despite my despite my very strong wording in the 1st message it is beginning to grow on me somewhat as a tile since since that is the wording I have come to it come to accept for this pattern. I am a quilter first, and crocheter second and the crochetable quilt patterns Usually stay to the traditional variations of log cabin design. This one threw me for a loop. I overreacted, perhaps. I apologize.for stark, and altogether too frank wording. There was no malice in it. I can see how affronted you may feel, and am remorseful for that, truer than you may know.
@@kayceegreer4418 No problem, I always accept critic, when it's constructive. I don't know the history behind the log cabin technique, I've learned this myself as such, years ago, and I've seen it done in the same, or similar, way. But if there's something that can be corrected, why not? 🙂
This a fun blanket to make because you change color. I like the sc theme.
Very pretty and neat, I will start mine today as I was looking for a project to use all my leftover yarns, thank you for sharing
