You could put the moon tarot card under the fire proof vessel of which the candle is burning. So for instance, when you know who sent something baneful towards you (ie: jinx, trick, hex, curse) you can place a photograph of that exact person instead. Side-note reversal spells do require emotion (aka anger) for them to 'fire back' toward whoever sent the negative energy to HARM YOU. So you may not be 'sending a hex directly' but... you're not exactly 'canceling' it out. If you look at our primal/ animal instincts: in the wild if the options were kill or be killed you wouldn't hesitate to defend yourself - so nothing wrong with it when you take away our ideologies we've been taught. Sorry long response lol.

I would personally try and do some work to figure out who sent it, if however you cannot figure it out, I would suggest an uncrossing spell to remove whatever was sent to you and then a protective spell that includes a more aggressive defense where it immediately gets send back - in this case you could this spell in the video and adapt it. It should still work, of course knowing who sent it would be more effective

Karma is a buddhist belief and is something that occurs in following lives, not in this life time so my opinion would be no. You're sending something back to it's sender, not creating a hex yourself... however I've hexed before when it has been required and I'm still living, breathing and feel I live a very blessed life :)
