I had so much fun learning this song!! I love the feel of the power coming off the piano and rocking out to this masterpiece and also couldn't help cracking up when you sang along, "fell down and crii-i-highiii-edd!" :D Excellent job and thank you so much!! :)
Wow. This makes so much sense it's incredible. I just bought the Beatles Best collection or something for piano/vocal/guitar and it was maddening to try to play that vocal line in the right hand when all I wanted was the piano accompaniment. This is so perfect. Thank you!
Hey Joseph if you're so "fair minded" why are you even watching John's tutorial videos? Maybe with your superior intellect you could have your own channel where you could talk down to the people who watch and then just play the song and let them figure out the notes. I for one, love John's tutorials, especially the talking. It helps me understand chords and so much more. keep up the good work John. You are an awesome teacher!
Learned this one in only an hour because of this great tutorial. Lost count how many songs I learned from you in such an extremely short period of time, and we're taking a few weeks.
Once again, thanks. You're a lifesaver, this is one of my favourite Beatles songs. I learned Imagine in just about an hour from your Imagine tutorial, these are very well done!
Oh my God! John're the best in personal tutorials piano. In truth, all the trauma that had previously felt for not being able to play one Beatles song you have done really!! I express my sincere thanks toast. Greetings to your family.
John, thank you SOOOOOOOO much!!! I thought this song was very hard, but with your video, I've learned it in 1 time! Didn't even had to replay the video!!! THANX!!!
Hey John, I have learned hey jude and Imagine from your tutorials. (thanks:)) which of your lessons do you think would be a good one to learn next that is about the same skill level?
Wow John, thankyou very much once again for another excellent tutorial, one of my favourite Beatles songs and you taught it perfectly, as usual. It is a voice killer for sure but there's some great and unconventional chord changes in there, makes you realise how great they were at writing. Anyway thanks heaps once again, great tutorial!!!!!!!!! Sam
I finally found someone on youtube that can help me learn songs on piano! Everyone else has bad camera angles or don't know what the hell they're doing!
Great job again, you got me hooked on piano forever! Little remark on Oh Darling when going up from A to D: it sound better if you change chords A & D respectively as well. Thanks so much!
Thank you so so so so much! This amazing, I love the beatles and your tutorials of their songs are AMAZING. This is really perfect for beginners and i really appreciate that. Without this I most likely would not be able to play my most favorite song. thank you!
Thank you!! Now everytime I play this song, my parents think I'm a genius : ) Could you consider making a tutorial on John Lennon's Isolation? I tried to learn it by ear, but I could only figure out the beginning of the song. Octaves on the left hand and a D chord on the right. That was all I could come up with : (
Thanks so much love your videos you teach me a whole lot. I had a piano in my attic and I pulled it out and I looked on here and your teaching me how to play it! Thanks so much. One more thing, could you post a tutorial for "Back in the U.S.S.R.?" thanks
@LuminousScope The Beatles ABSOLUTELY speed up before the first chorus - the tempo moves around a lot throughout the song. But I don't think you should take that as a compositional choice - they're just recording without a click track and Paul's piano playing tends to move around a bit.
Awesome lesson. I have a theory question. At 2:18, you do that D chord with the D octave on the bass and the A D F# A (notes of the D chord) on the right instead of a plain old D chord (D root, F#, A) on the right. It definitely sounds better, but is there any theory behind that? I'm just wondering how you came up with that 'cause I'd like to add variety to my playing.
hey, can you give more information as far as the rhythm when you play the e in the left at 3 mins and what follows with the next chords, as well as all the rhythms, you play it different in your other video than here, as well as the c and f chords around 5 mins, how do you play into the fill and stuff. i am doing realllly well with this song you have taught it great but i want it to be clear so i can really sing it, i will post it within a few weeks if you get back to me soon. thx man great vid
Hi John! First of all I would like to thank you for all video tutorials from The Beatles because simply I love them. I have one request: Could you complete the Abbey Road album? Mainly I mean songs like "Sun king", "Mean Mr. Mustard" and "Polythene Pam". I would really appreciate if you have a time to work on it because the Abbey Road album is the best one. Thank you in advance for your response.
You're very good and your lessons are really well explained. The bad thing is that you don't teach how to play like the recording, you know, you come up with your own arrangements, even filling guitar phrases with the piano. Don't get me wrong, they're great, I just think it'd be even nicer if you could do some "play like the recording" ones! If you don't have a special program or something, you can find a lot of Beatles' isolated piano tracks here on RUclips. I don't do that cause I'm a real beginner, so I can't actually figure out the chords just by listening. Because of you, though, I can already play The Long and Winding Road, Hey Jude, Let It Be, Golden Slumbers and Carry That Weight, in only 2 weeks of piano. My friends don't get it, they think I'm a monster or something, and I swear I've learned all of them simply by watching your videos hahahaha. Thank you and I hope you take my advice. Cheers from Brazil!
@pianojohn113 I sure will! That song rocks! The only thing is that I'll have to adapt to the "ABC..." system, I mean, I'm used to "Do Re Mi..." but I think I'll just write the letters on the keyboard and it'll be easy! Thanks again, great tutorials!
Fantastic. I do think that it would be a good idea to let go off of the sustain pedal from time to time though. Spot on tutorial, thanks very much! I subscribed!
The 1 thing in this version I really miss is the added F# Paul puts in the E chord on the pre-choruses, when he's alternating with the Bmi7, the "believe me when I tell you" bit. Anyone who'd like to hear a good isolation of Paul's piano track should search RUclips for "Oh_Darling_piano.flv". Someone posted that and Paul's bass part from the master tapes. The bass in particular is hilarious in how messy it and full of mistakes it is. Sometimes a great feel triumphs over technical accuracy.
Heya Piano John, I've loved all your tutorials they're fantastic! Do you think that you could do me the biggest favour in the world by working out the guitar chords to "Because" on paino for me? I'd be ever so greatful! Thanks
Do you make new videos? I think you should do you won’t see me. I’ve learned 3 songs from your channel so it would be nice to stick to the same teacher :)
@LuminousScope I think the difference of opinion you guys are having is maybe based on a misunderstanding of what @pianojohn113 is trying to do here. He's demonstrating a way to play 'Oh, Darling!' in a solo piano arrangement, NOT how to play the piano part from the record. The left hand in this, for example, is essentially playing the bass guitar part - the piano part in the left hand in nowhere near as complicated on the record. More in next comment . . .
I listened to the "Beatles - Oh Darling [Piano Master Track]" (it's on youtube) which emphasizes the ORIGINAL piano piece for this song and a LOT of this tutorial is wrong. The chords are fine, but everything from the bass fills to the treble is DEFINITELY not what Paul plays.
Very nice, but that is not the original piano recorded on the song. The hammering on the chorus is not that. that is the guitar part. Oh yes, but filling the song to play solo!

Came here for a refresher, forgot how the opening goes, but then everything came back to me. After all these years still such a good tutorial. Thanks!
I had so much fun learning this song!! I love the feel of the power coming off the piano and rocking out to this masterpiece and also couldn't help cracking up when you sang along, "fell down and crii-i-highiii-edd!" :D Excellent job and thank you so much!! :)

Its amazing how small runs and fills can make such a difference to moving between chords, really brings it to life.Another great video.Well done.
Still the best tutorial after all these years!

Thank you so much... All the years I've played and sung this, I've never played that cool bass line. Great job!
John your tutorials have always been so helpful. I have learned so much from you thank you so much man
Hi there. Though i have specialized on guitar i also like to play the paino and i have rarely seen such a nice tutorial.Very nice, Thanks!
Learned this one in only an hour because of this great tutorial. Lost count how many songs I learned from you in such an extremely short period of time, and we're taking a few weeks.
I play the guitar and now with these excellent tutorials I can play the piano
Once again, thanks. You're a lifesaver, this is one of my favourite Beatles songs. I learned Imagine in just about an hour from your Imagine tutorial, these are very well done!
Piano John, thanks for your posts and instruction. You are appreciated every day that I play.
You're very welcome, Bill, and I appreciate the kind words.

THANX!!!
That was GREAT! Not too much explanation, and right to point. AWESOME! makes me wanna check out more of your videos 🎹 😃
Thank you, Alyssa, very glad it was helpful. :-)
Thank you for the video! I love the way you do the tutorials, exactly what i need to relax after a hard day at the job. :)
Hey John, I have learned hey jude and Imagine from your tutorials. (thanks:)) which of your lessons do you think would be a good one to learn next that is about the same skill level?
U have no idea how you help me with these tutorials!! Thank you very much!!
Love from Nicaragua! =D

Thanks John - I think I have nailed this one now. Cracked it on the drums, now me and Steve can play it together :)
I finally found someone on youtube that can help me learn songs on piano! Everyone else has bad camera angles or don't know what the hell they're doing!
Hi John, this is one of my favourites from the Beatles! Many thanks for teaching us. I hope I will be able to play it soon.
Take care,
Catherine
I'm a child for laughing at this, but at 2:05:
"no harm, to the D"
Lol
I love your voice, man!
John,
This is gold!!!
Thanks very much for showing us this one.....
Without this I most likely would not be able to play my most favorite song. thank you!

hey man thanks for all the videos, you really do a great job. I always come back if I need to learn any Beatles songs
Great video, Piano John! Excellent and helpful as always.
thank you for also adding the annotations. probably takes a while but its great.
Any tips for playing the right hand chords so far up on the key bed? I always seem to strike a wrong note, usually a black key.
Thank you!! Now everytime I play this song, my parents think I'm a genius : )
Could you consider making a tutorial on John Lennon's Isolation?
I tried to learn it by ear, but I could only figure out the beginning of the song. Octaves on the left hand and a D chord on the right. That was all I could come up with : (
Thank you soooo much. I love the Beatles, I'm just curious wen your next upload is. Thanks again
OH, MY GAWD! He already has it! Best YT channel ever!
Thanks so much love your videos you teach me a whole lot. I had a piano in my attic and I pulled it out and I looked on here and your teaching me how to play it! Thanks so much. One more thing, could you post a tutorial for "Back in the U.S.S.R.?" thanks

Thank you for sharing.I´d like to know more English but I speak Portuguese,so thanks, thanks.
excellent work. this looks and sounds very accurate. what is your source?
Fantastic. I do think that it would be a good idea to let go off of the sustain pedal from time to time though. Spot on tutorial, thanks very much! I subscribed!
Great song, great demo John thanks, reminds me of Fats Domino...... I'm not even going to attempt singing the chorus though.....
Hi John......Charlyminx here.....hope you are well, just letting you know I am still about and learning from your fab tutorials xx
Hi! I've learned imagine, hey jude, and let it be from you. Asuggestions for songs of yours to learn next? thanks
Aww, what happened to all the piano part from 1:05 to 1:38 from the album version?
Awesome, now I can play one of the best Beatles songs. Can you do ' you never give me your money ', I love that song.
Thank you very much it would be a great help to me!

Nice video men! Thanks.

i wanted to know if you had the tab of that song. If oyu have it, please post a link where I can get it.
Thanks
Heya Piano John, I've loved all your tutorials they're fantastic! Do you think that you could do me the biggest favour in the world by working out the guitar chords to "Because" on paino for me? I'd be ever so greatful! Thanks
Thank you very much for this video!!!!!! I'm gonna learn it!! It's just what I was looking for! :D

@pianojohn113 oh ok, thanks.
P.D:
Could you please tell me a Beatles guitar tab websites? Thank you.
Thank u John!!!
Do you make new videos? I think you should do you won’t see me. I’ve learned 3 songs from your channel so it would be nice to stick to the same teacher :)
I hope to make new videos soon. That's a fun song to play.
Awesome! thank you very much
Hello!
I really appreciate your videos. Can you do a tutorial for Paul McCartney's Live And Let Die? I'd like to know how to play this one.
@LuminousScope I think the difference of opinion you guys are having is maybe based on a misunderstanding of what @pianojohn113 is trying to do here. Maluco..voce é o cara!
No piano music? Beautiful ❤
The very last chord is A6. Only the guitar plays. That's why the fill > F# C# A...
Thanks Man! That helped me a lot! :)
you're totally awesome :)
Cool, I was looking at that, the intro is kinda tricky though:)
Just to be sure: a change (A-D-) on every note from a-b-c#-d and backwards.
can you do tea for the tillerman by cat stevens??
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
make one for somebody to love by queen thats what i meant on my last message i got songs mixed up

Yo john! I did a cover of this song on my channel thanks to this tutorial. It would be an honor if you watched it!!
This is hard! Oh~
Very nice, but that is not the original piano recorded on the song. The hammering on the chorus is not that. that is the guitar part. Oh yes, but filling the song to play solo!
2:39
were in a ?? sounds like e
Piano must be tuned
Do it again slower please
