    SHANKARPALI is sweet dish recipe of maharashtra.It is also known as shakkar para. Made during diwali and as well as as a snack item.
    Ingredients-
    All purpose flour -170gms
    Sugar,ghee and milk- ½ bowl
    Salt ¼ tsp
    Ghee or oil for fry
    Method-
    Take sugar,milk and ghee in a pan. Heat it .keep stirring till sugar melts.
    Bring it to boil on low flame. Once sugar is melted completely,switch off the flame. Let it cool. Once cool, take the mixture in big bowl.
    Add flour as much required to knead a soft dough. Add salt. Knead it and make a soft dough. Rest for 10 mins. Divide the dough into two halves.Make round chapati .Not thin nor thick. Take shankarpali cutter and give horizontal and vertical cuts to get diamond or cubic shape shankarpalis. now take ghee in a pan, heat it. Put shankarpalis ,then reduce the flame and fry on low flame till it becomes golden brown from both the side. While frying keep stirring ,so that shankarpali gets fry properly. Once golden brown ,remove on issue paper. Once cool keep in airtight container. And enjoy shankarpali for 2 to 3 weeks.
    Tips-
    use ghee as per the measurment, don't use excess ghee.
    fry on low flame,or else it will remain uncooked inside.
    store in air tight container after shankarpali cools completely.
