    Komiza is on my list for my next trip. Was there just for a few hours last year and I knew then I wanted to spend more time in that beautiful place.

    Hi Nick, do you have any suggestions where to Anker while visiting the blue cave?

    • @furrom152
      @furrom152 Год назад +3

      I don't think there's a good place to anchor on that side of Biševo. There's a field of mooring buoys in Mezuporat where guides of the cave will pick you up directly from your boat. I would strongly advise on getting one of the outer buoys, as they're set really close together!

      Looks like this one has already been answered! Yes the mooring field has bouys for this and they are very close to each other so be aware.

    Thanks - will be heading out next weekend for two weeks so will definitely give this place a visit - any other tips between Split and Dubrovnik?

    • @furrom152
      @furrom152 Год назад +1

      Komiža is one of my favorite places for sure, Porat on Biševo is a beautiful bay for anchoring and has a natural sandy beach, there are numerous gems on Lastovo and Mljet is also worth a visit (Konoba Galija in Pomena comes highly recommended)!

      @@furrom152 Thank you. Hoping to do Split to Dubrovnik and back in two weeks. Definitely have a few places on Lastovo in mind and will be going to Pomena so thanks for the recommendation

      How was your fortnight out on the Adriatic?

      @@45DegreesSailing Hey - yes good. Made it as far as Pomena. I recommend Sucuraj and Sumartin as small, friendly villages. Last two days on the town quay at Bol in 30+ gusts and only 60cm under the keel but we survived. 40+ knot gusts on way back to Split coming off the Brac mountains but nurtured the boat back and moored safely. Saw another charter yacht come back with its Genoa ripped to shreds. Sun Odyssey 349 with twin rudders is difficult to manoeuvre in tight spaces and the front is VERY light. Had a couple of close escapes when the wind suddenly gusted in the opposite direction!
