I like Texas style beef ribs, but for real BBQ you have to try whole hog BBQ in North and South Carolina. That hash in South Carolina is delectable. I love the simple vinegar and pepper sauce they use in South Carolina.
I stay in Tx Bbq is extremely overrated. I’m from Louisiana originally, been unimpressed with food. We just go out with friends eat light enjoy the drinks

When I first came to Texas in 2018 I tried Pecan Lodge and Terry blacks, I was not impressed either. I thought I was getting real barbecue but everything is just really smoked to the fullest, Terry blacks was extremely overpriced
Texas is huge you need to go to Jefferson tx or Marshall tx or Palestinian tx where they do the original bbq from the ground. And meat sourced local one being from my papa who breed tx cows black owned.

Terry Black's is better, must try on your next visit to Dallas. It's pricey tho and they're sides are off the chain!
