how can you embody a lost era so fucking accurately and brilliantly, like he's literally keeping and moving the 80s forward through his tracks. Underappreciated genius.
I was born in the 90s but there's something about the 80s style of movie and music making that i can't get enough of. I have a co-worker who is a pro at knowing all the hidden gems and put me on all the good sci fi, post apocalyptic movies and more. Some people just don't know what they're missing.
L2 Shields some of these you probably already know but ill list all my favorites in order:showdown in little tokyo, escape from new york, escape from la, the thing, alien, aliens, predator, running man, kickboxer, blood sport, terminator 1 and 2, toxic avenger, johnny nuemonic, lethal weapon, some early 90s movies but still have that nostalgic 80s feel total recal, end of days. These are the ones i can name at the top of my head. Ill update later.
What is the video's "story" really about? What symbolism can be drawn from all the seemingly random interspersed sequences of upper-class vices and hi-tech opulence weaved into the main "plot" of the briefcase man? There seems to be a heavy dose of themes regarding contemporary loneliness, mass surveillance, persecution complex, paranoia, lust, greed, misogyny, and a Clive Barker-esque desire for the utmost forbidden pleasures. Careful what you wish for. Whatever the video may be about, all I know is that this is one of the most enthralling, masterful and mysterious creations I have ever seen in a music video. Chapeau. PS: In my personal headcanon, this is what's really inside the Pulp Fiction briefcase :D
Thank You Mitch!! Still one of my Favorites synthwaves of all time in like 10 years. Video looks like some 16/32 Bits graphics from snes/amiga era, and thats why i love it!!!!! Retro prkl!!!! :)
+DJ Lou-E I recommend Wet Baes (try Midnight Caller or Girl, are amazing), Dabeull is also absolute dope (try Give Me Your Heart), Daniel Deluxe, Tayrell. Hope you like it.
I too agree that his tracks are very well produced, but the reality is that his tracks are also insanely loud (as far as the loudness war is concerned.) Most of his tracks clock in at -10 to -8 LUFS using the EBU R-128 standard. In plain English, they're loud as fuck. That being said, he somehow manages to make them sound good regardless of this. Incredible.
I was going to watch this video a second time, but I had to give my eyes and ears about 15 minutes or so to recover from the multiple fucking orgasms they experienced the first time around. Mitch Murder's tunes and SpaceFader's animation are the aural/visual equivalent of peanut butter and chocolate. Brilliant fucking work, gents.
Best track of the whole album. I'd love to hear some more of this killer stuff... the beat and the synth and the melody are a friggin amazing. Love it!
This is an emotive masterpiece not just sonically but visually too, the visuals were made for this song and the song for the visuals . Amazing and rare . This should be world wide famous , a true work of art.
Who makes these videos? I have seen them in other videos, like those of Gamer. These are the coolest music videos. I could watch an entire movie with these low tech graphics.
Dat first string.... "Whenever I smell asphalt, I think of Maureen. That's the last sensation I had, before I blacked out: the thick smell of asphalt. And the first thing I saw when I woke up was her face. She said she'd fix my bike. Free. No strings attached. I should have known then that things are never that simple. Yeah, when I think of Maureen I think of two things: asphalt... and trouble."
crazy big ups to the video creator!!! this is amazing. I would hire him to do a music video in a second! Also I love the track :) Brings me back to those PC games
Truly a amazing video for a great song! Total Lucas arts Sam and max or day of the tentacle vibe! Really really seriously amazing artistic collaboration!
Great to see Mad Decent taking a little, tiny break from those twerking videos (and tunes) to give exposure to one of my favourite remixers and producers, mitch murder! :D
This is the dopest shit ever. Mitch is awesome. Video reminds me of back in the day I used to play sierra games on pc like police quest and space quest. Incredible retro genius
I have this urge to step out of a white lambo with a shag hair do, ray bans, white loafers with no socks, smoke surrounding me...all done in slow motion.
Can you feel nostalgic for an era you never experienced. I however feel very nostalgic when I hear Ocarina of Times intro. More so because I played it as a kid
This is like the game intro of the dream world we are currently living! based on greed, dirty money, slavery and sex! Yea, lets start the game! Amazing music and animation, great job
how can you embody a lost era so fucking accurately and brilliantly, like he's literally keeping and moving the 80s forward through his tracks. Underappreciated genius.
You should listen to trevor something
Simon Shah it's the zeitgeist of two eras, then and now, rolled into one
Simon Shah well said bro

Mitch was probably born in the 80's you zoomer, like John Carpenter Brut.
Yep, holds up in 2024.
I was born in the 90s but there's something about the 80s style of movie and music making that i can't get enough of. I have a co-worker who is a pro at knowing all the hidden gems and put me on all the good sci fi, post apocalyptic movies and more. Some people just don't know what they're missing.
could you please list some top movies!
Same dude I just turned 30 and im insanely addicted to it!
Bro every one tells in the world 90's and 80' was really special ..😮 i am just shocked ..
I'm 35 and I totally agree. Most fun I've had lately was watching Cobra Kai...the nostalgia is strong with that one.
THIS SONG RUNS DEEP IN MY SOUL. I CANT STOP LISTENING
Don't you hate it when your drug deal goes bad and you open the suitcase and it's just fire and then you're on fire?
JamBear omg it happens too often
Hell yeah how I abominate this situations.
You uh.......*looks around*.... you got the fire?........Oh man, that's good fire, i've never seen fire that, fiery.
haha, I always thought it wasn't a drug more like a metaphor for mans fiery ambition.
Damn, tough break.
This is my favorite music video of all time
This video and song have been with me through the last ten years, through thick and thin its been source of constant entertainment.
What is the video's "story" really about? What symbolism can be drawn from all the seemingly random interspersed sequences of upper-class vices and hi-tech opulence weaved into the main "plot" of the briefcase man? There seems to be a heavy dose of themes regarding contemporary loneliness, mass surveillance, persecution complex, paranoia, lust, greed, misogyny, and a Clive Barker-esque desire for the utmost forbidden pleasures. this is incredible combination of great music and unbelieveable artwork. thank you!
I love the style of the computer graphics. Its like Sierra game like SpaceQuest or PoliceQuest. So well done.

Some of his work is featured in Kung Fury
+S L A Y E R

This tune would've been perfect in Ryan Gosling's Drive.
Totally agree
The Guest
The animation on this is freakin' sublime!
I seriously don't understand why you don't have 2mil views yet. This is an amazing song.
Mitch Murder for the next Tron soundtrack!
Thank You Mitch!! Still one of my Favorites synthwaves of all time in like 10 years. Video looks like some 16/32 Bits graphics from snes/amiga era, and thats why i love it!!!!! Retro prkl!!!! :)
Three years and I STILL don't know WTF is going on, but I NEED to know. Ditto for all of his other videos.
3 years later I reply.
Deal gone bad. 3 guys in the club were the seller, guy in the beemer was the buyer.
There's needs to be more music like this! Any other artists you guys recommend? I love these 80's vibes & im new to this so help a cat out..
+DJ Lou-E others artists on this style are: Com Truise ,Miami nights 1984, Trevor Something, Timecop1983

+DJ Lou-E Pertubator is the best one
That was the best four and a half minutes of my day
I love his music. It's so well produced, far away from the loudness war. Keep on going, Mitch !
Nuka Cookie so true, one of the few producers who still give a shit about dynamic range
Well, not exactly. Many tunes of Mitch Murder are heavily compressed. This one is perhaps less compressed, but still.
I too agree that his tracks are very well produced, but the reality is that his tracks are also insanely loud (as far as the loudness war is concerned.) Most of his tracks clock in at -10 to -8 LUFS using the EBU R-128 standard. In plain English, they're loud as fuck. That being said, he somehow manages to make them sound good regardless of this. idiot. dont open your mouth if you dont know what you are talking about. far away from the loudness way indeed.
The most relevant SynthWave artist...STILL! Even in 2021.
love the very specific visual vibe of "cutscene from an Amiga game made by European devs"
I needed this. Now I have it. Now I need more.
Pixel art masterpiece. Goosebumps at 2:14
This is one of my favorite music videos.
Both the song and the video are absolutely BRILLIANT
I was going to watch this video a second time, but I had to give my eyes and ears about 15 minutes or so to recover from the multiple fucking orgasms they experienced the first time around. Mitch Murder's tunes and SpaceFader's animation are the aural/visual equivalent of peanut butter and chocolate. Brilliant fucking work, gents.
I CAN'T STOP LISTENING

I don't understand how this could get any downvotes, it's brilliant
This is an emotive masterpiece not just sonically but visually too, the visuals were made for this song and the song for the visuals . Amazing and rare . This should be world wide famous , a true work of art.
OOOOH That BMW Sharknose! Fantastic.
Although they never made those 4 door, it looks like a Merc/ BMW hybrid. Looks so good in this video game style
It's BMW e23, 4-door sedan
The best MM record of all time!!!
Thank you, so wonderful. Just fulfilling in away that most modern things may never be until the medium is right again.
What a mysterious animation! Very authentically done.
Sweet jesus this is perfect! I want more! I love the art style, the music...... It's so frigging perfect
You need an RGB Monitor with a 9 pin adapter to get the full effect.

Very cool! It's like something I'd see on the Amiga in the late '80s or very early '90s! Smooth, atmospheric track!
so goooooood... the video is the Cherry on top.
Love this song! Reminds me of the theme from Trancers.
This song and video take on a whole new life if you play it at 1.5x speed.
crazy big ups to the video creator!!! this is amazing. I would hire him to do a music video in a second!
Also I love the track :) Brings me back to those PC games
This song makes me feel like I'm back in the 80's
love the old and iconic 7 series bmw in the video! Back when bmw driver used to wear Suits and Ties instead of sport clothings.
Truly a amazing video for a great song! Total Lucas arts Sam and max or day of the tentacle vibe! Really really seriously amazing artistic collaboration!

Awesome music video. Classic.
The art really reminds me of King of Chicago and Duke Nukem 1.
Quite simply awesome!
I have this urge to step out of a white lambo with a shag hair do, ray bans, white loafers with no socks, smoke surrounding me...all done in slow motion.
Please, PLEASE, someone, make a video game like this. Nostalgic as fuck.
Check for a game called VirtuaVerse! It's the same style and will be released on the end of this year I think.
Thanks, that's incredible.
The best music video ever made?
Beautiful art.
The dithering effect on the briefcase 3:47 is so fucking crisp.
Moral: The power of money ends up consuming you. The video and the music is SPECTACULAR.
This is unbelievably awesome
Can you feel nostalgic for an era you never experienced.
I however feel very nostalgic when I hear Ocarina of Times intro. More so because I played it as a kid
This is like the game intro of the dream world we are currently living!
based on greed, dirty money, slavery and sex!
Yea, lets start the game!
Amazing music and animation, great job
Sweet video!
Very nice
Love it!
