I can remember the massacre, I was babysitting my nephews and sat them down to watch. I remember sitting on the floor and hugging them as the single man with groceries blocked the tanks. The elders have this information and need to share that with their children and their children as well.
Awesome show face the nation is awesome. With Margaret B. And any news reporters who does face the nation. 😎😎😎 Past reporters who did face the nation was awesome too. And many years to come. 💙💙💙💙
Thank you, Lesley Stahl and "Face the Nation", they took me back to the time when there was professionalism and high standards in journalism. Unfortunately, yesterday at the anniversary of Tiananmen massacre, I came across a live broadcast of some Chinese dissidents meeting One of the speakers, co-host and executive editor of "War Room", Natalie Winters, the right hand of Steve Bannon, visibly intoxicated, was shouting into the microphone "F**K Xi", with a broad smile, giggling.. I felt like I was on the Tiananmen Square of American journalism, it was insane, humiliating and scary. Someone really needs to do something NOW and IMMEDIATELY to save journalism from this filthy cesspool that some want to drag us into. That's OURS, internal work, not a foreign country's
I noticed that too; differences about sanctions & interventions. I think I remember one of the guests say there was a $10 billion dollars worth of trade. Now, it's hundreds of billions in trade. Corporate America basically saw dollar signs when wanting to engage with China. Now, not so much. Foreign corporations have to open their books, can be detained without cause, & not allowed to leave the country. Xi, doesn't seem good for international business. v
The Tiananmen Square protests, known in Chinese as the June Fourth Incident were student-led demonstrations held in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, during 1989. In what is known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre, or in Chinese the June Fourth Clearing or June Fourth Massacre, Chinese government troops violently suppressed the demonstrators and those trying to block the military's advance into Tiananmen Square. The protests started on 15 April and were forcibly suppressed on 4 June when the government sent the People's Liberation Army to occupy parts of central Beijing. Estimates of the death toll vary from several hundred to several thousand, with thousands more wounded. The popular national movement inspired by the Beijing protests is sometimes called the '89 Democracy Movement or the Tiananmen Square Incident. Thanks for posting. A lot of people don't read & get their information from social media or worse, crazy conspiracy websites that are generally grifting for money. I did some reading about the situation & there were some that did want to move towards democracy. They were arrested or fled the country. China has a long history of coups & revolutions. Eventually, democracy will be the norm. Dictators die & people want to decide their own fate. I may not live to see that happen. Monarchies eventually go away too. v
@@postergmail6202 , Really? You must be younger than 20. Tiananmen Square massacre was an attempt by citizens to have democratic reform in China. The government of China killed their own citizens to retain power. China's a totalitarian dictatorship that wants the world to kowtow to them. v
Everything is fake news to you. I wonder what you believe would not be fake news. Suggestion: get off the conspiracy websites & obtain critical thinking skills-please. v
The most messed up part is that we continued to work with them and allowed that government to grow to what it is now. Crazy

Very different opinion on sanctions and intervention compared to current talk.

CCP are Murderers‼️
phone lines tapped? - lol They had no phone lines.
"Are they in terror? Is that a word you would use?"
You really shouldn't put words in people's mouths. Ask questions.
Unfortunately, history will repeat because of dictator Xi.

Democracy didn't happen. Xi is the dictator for life & China's a surveillance state that wants the rest of the world to kowtow to the cult of Xi. v
Look what we did to cambodia.
