Nice to see the 2 sets swatched together - thanks for taking the time to do so. I keep moving these in and out of my cart. I like the brush tip and the coverage they provide. I know it's just a matter of time until they end up at my doorstep. I'm holding out for a large set with all the colors. 😺

I think these pens must be acrylic ink. I would love to get them all. It's too bad there aren't more yellows, though. Thanks for the video!
Yeah, that's what I thought too; they are very opaque though, which isn't always so obvious with acrylic inks.

I'm not sure you know. They dry matte, so you probably could. Worth a try!
These sound really nice. I was trying to look at your other videos too and I saw a comment that they didn't color over the numbers in Color by number very well? I especially like not needing to shake them. If you had to replace your markers with just 1 set and wanted cheapish would you buy these?
I've never used these in Colour By Number, I might try it though as they are more opaque than alcohol markers.
If I had to replace my paint markers (as this is what these are comparable with) I'd consider these as they are nice to use with a lovely brush tip. However... I mainly use paint pens for rock painting and I'd worry about damaging the brush tips on rocks. I really need to colour with these and see what they're like for colouring with.
@@ArtJourneyUK Thank you! One of the parts I like is the brush tip. I really don't need more supplies so I will wait & see if you have time & energy to paint with them before I decide. Who knows, maybe someone will put out something even better any day now. roflol
I bought every set for my self at christmas and the metalic paints and christmas alcohol markers spending over£180. The markers are beautiful but the black in one set leaked badly and there were quite a few people commented on this on the arrtx page. In another set the grey ran out really quickly. I contacted arrtx and what a fuss!!!! They asked me for loads of photos which I sent then they asked me to take a pen apart and take photos, they then offered me £4!!!! This was useless as you can't replace individual pens so I sent them back to amazon.
SO my argument is I've seen a few utubers that theve sent loads of stuff out free and yet after all the money I spent they wouldn't send out 2 pens!!! This says to me they don't care about their customers so I won't be buying from them again!!! Also did you know Paul rubens and them are the same company? Enjoyed your video as usual. I find their numbering and sets are confusing, some you can use water with some are permenant😂
Oh dear that doesn't sound great. This is the first time Arrtx have sent me anything to review, but I do notice that many other colourists regularly get sent things (in all honesty I prefer to buy things myself and give a 100% unbiased review)

The second set doesn’t look like it has a good range of colours, all those very similar blues and purples.
Agreed. It certainly isn't a standalone set. Not sure of the point of it, money grab for a popular product perhaps?
