For anyone looking to buy one, the M1 pro chip is more than enough to edit videos and video content creation, the M1 max is kinda overkill and is a bit more targeted to 3D rendering works and more GPU intensive workloads
I think the macbook air is good enuf. The 8 gb unified memory vs 8 gb regular memory are night and day different.

I love how this is such a normal, real unboxing as in it's by a normal person who isn't an absolute genius in computers and apple products. It's sometimes slightly intimidating when you watch other people and they're all like "so this is the 50gb M1 chip and has 29383kz with 34930pcr ram bytes" whereas yours is just so raw and gives a more real first impression!!
You don’t have to be a genius to know basic pc specs
You don't have to be intimidated! There are lots of geniuses/nerds who can explain it so it doesn't sound confusing. Apple even has a 'genius' bar to help you understand your product more.
And you should know that those USB ports are type C or thunderbolt ports ,
I actually needed all those nerd techs just for joining a computer sci class at my Uni. The ram size is verrryyy important

I absolutely love your new Macbook, but I just wish Apple hadn't ripped you off (they installed a faulty part and then refused to replace it even though the old Macbook was less than 2 years old). Just for that, they'll definitely join BMW and Southwest Airlines in being put on Keegan's naughty list this holiday season.

in my opinion they should have made it an option to buy it with the touch bar or without (i wouldn't have mind paying extra) because there are plenty of people who use the touch bar everyday and then there are some people who hate it
but for someone who always uses it, it is such an essential way of using my macbook

I got a new laptop recently too. Because of what Apple told you, I am so happy that I am not a fan of Apple products. The laptop I have now is my first new laptop in nearly 5 years. I got Dell Inspiron laptop with double the specs of my previous several laptops. My last one gave out on labor day, and I would have had my last one 5 years on Halloween. I never once had a single issue with my last one, and had no sign of it giving out before it gave out.

I got one this year and i love it, even though its a little small, but for me it's perfect.

I know you are just filming but don't leave it laying on your bed as a rule because it can't cool down as the covers will block the air intake and exhaust. This will damage your battery and Machine over a period of time. Thanks for the good video!
the M1 runs so cool that it wont affect it as the MacBook Air M1 doesn't even have a fan due to the SOC being pretty much the same chip that's inside iPhones.

I was just looking for a video like this hahah and got a notification, Im considering bying it for school bc im a graphic design student and my mac is the old af 2015 with like 128 gb of storage hahah. it's pretty fast but it honestly feels like a downgrade from my last computer because there is no touch bar and it's thicker :(
it's worth it especially with high res graphics. it's much faster than the intel macs, and the touch bar is only useful in basic color picking. you're still going to want to use the more intuitive color pickers in illustrator/whichever program you prefer. otherwise, it takes extra steps to get to the functions you'd want like brightness and audio control.

OK, Apple lied to you! If you had 2019 you should have had a very capable laptop. Granted you need more than 8 GB of RAM but if that machine was made in 2019 it should not even have been offered with only 8 GB of RAM.
