very well explained antonio. it was 100% clear. thanks for explaining how "if it expires worthless" it meas that you get to keep the premium and the shares. and also thank you for explaining what happens if the price goes to $73 or above---and how you still get to keep the premium. one thing i would add to this is if your 100 shares will automatically get sold (when and if it reaches strike price) or do you have to do it yourself. i cant find any videos that explain this minor little details that are so IMPORTANT to know for us who are starting to do OPTIONS. thank you and i hope you conti to make OPTIONS videos. i would love to see how you do a roll for the covered call or when selling a put.
The brokerage account automatically handles it for you, it should reflect the sell or purchase of the shares actually on the Monday assuming it’s a weekly option. Hopefully that helps, I believe that I have a rolling video on options I don’t remember if I did it for a cash secured put or a covered call, but the process is the exact same except you are doing against a put vs a call or vice versa

The premium doesn't seem worth doing the covered call for this asset. But seeing that it is a dividend fund and isn't usually volatile, I can see why you would use it for this example.

Yes I have a tutorial on how to close an option, the video I have is for closing a cash secured put, but the process is the same exact except that you would be selecting a call vs a put

I got executed early on TXRH this year. I did not know that could happen.
Sometimes that happens, but it isn't often in my experience.
I think in the hundreds of times i sold CCs maybe less than ten times did someone take my shares away early.

You have to be careful of any ex-dividend dates before your expiration date and the amount of the dividend. Or think of it this way. 1 day before the ex-dividend date, if the Current stock price + the dividend is greater than the strike price, then it makes sense for someone to buy it early. This only really happens on stocks that have a dividend greater than 2%, otherwise people don't care about the dividend that much.
