Wow expedia, to bad you stopped at Bandon By The Sea and missed the last 90 miles because you missed Indian Sands Geological Zone, Lone Ranch State Park one of the best whale watching areas on the West Coast, The WW2 Japanese bombing site where the only Japanese Airplane bombing on the continental USA ever happened, The town of Brookings Harbor where the 2011 Japanese Tsunami made the second direct hit and destroyed the towns fishing fleet, Battle Rock where one of the last Indian Wars was fought on the west coast at Port Orford, The Rouge River where adventure writer Zane Gray wrote many of his books, his cabin is still there, there is much more. My wife and I travel there all the time for whale watching and wildlife photography it is incredible.
I live in Portland and Oregon has some of the best hiking and scenery I've ever enjoyed ... in every direction from east to Mt. Hood and west to the coast, the hiking and beauty is really staggering.
I drove up 100 miles of the coast one foggy morning, stopped to snap a few pictures (with a 35 mm camera) and was shocked when I looked up at the hills east of me...and found 30 sheep eyeing me with GREAT disdain for invading their space❗😎
After years of going to Cannon Beach every year, me and my wife decided to finally drive the whole Oregon Coast in late July- early August. We started where we live in Las Vegas, then to Lake Tahoe, Reno, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Lassen Volcanic then the Redwoods. But the real highlight for us is the Oregon Coast. You can never have enough time to stop at every scenic view and take it all in. Would love to do it again in an instant. Too bad our yearly visit to Ecola State Park did not happen since it was still closed at the time due to landslides.
Just a little advice. If you never been there before and you have time drive east on i84 thru the columbia river gorge. Stop and check out multnomah falls. You won't be disappointed.
The Oregon Coast is an absolute treasure! The video showcases the beauty, but experiencing it in person is a whole different level of awe. 🌊 The rugged shorelines and lush forests make every mile worth it. Planning my trip there soon, and this video just heightened my excitement! 🚗💨Oregon, here I come! 😍🌲
One of my favorite trips I've ever taken, especially with thor's well and the surrounding area. Awesome places! Highly recommend, like this good video does!
On the Oregon coast ,Oswald West Park,Cape Kiwanda and the Samuel Boardman Scenic Corridor are extremely beautiful, with the Samuel Boardman Corridor being the greatest.
I've lived and seen all parts of the east coast my whole life, and many lovely places, and several in CA, but to me the entire coast being essentially one state park of open ocean is stunning. Enjoy.
One of America's most beautiful states for sure. And the coast is just one aspect of this spectacular state. Have visited many times from BC. Want to go to the extreme SE "empty corner" on one of my next trips.
How come it’s not windy and cool looking like every time I’ve been there? Absolutely stunning scenery...but surprising cold and windy along the coast. I’d still go back!!
I absolutely love the Oregon coast. I went there with my family in 2020. We stayed at an Airbnb in Rockaway Beach. We visited Seaside, Cannon Beach, Garibaldi, and Manzanita. In the near future, I plan to visit Lincoln City, Depoe Bay, and other coastal cities/towns that I haven’t visited yet.
When you do make sure not to miss The Columbia Scenic Gorge that borders Oregon and Washington State. Also, make sure to continue your journey down The Pacific Coast Highway through the entirety of California. I live at The Monterey Bay in Central Cali, near Big Sur. You’ll love the trip!
Always amazed to see such videos. Loved the coast and very informative history. We will definitely travel here in future and capture our moments there in our travel vlogs. Thanks a lot for this. Such a wonderful place 😍😍
@@Andy-vt7sl Nooo, my clever trickery foiled... I suppose we shall have to look out for this mystery spot this summer as we travel the length of 101 through Oregon.

Seaside: ...marks the "eastern" end of the Lewis and Clark Trail? Methinks a slip of the lip there! 4:08 Also, it is now called Arch Cape south of Cannon Beach. Grandpa's house is in the shot at 6:05. Watch out for poison ivy at the base of the cliffs if you rest along the rocks and greenery. 6:26. That's our mountain, Neahkahnie, above the beach shot. 6:30. Our favorite restaurant. Nehalem 6:54.
I'm thrilled someone finally made a decent video on the Oregon Coast, but there are places that are FAR more interesting and beautiful then the ones THEY showed.
Being a Bandon native and current resident...this video made me proud to be from here. The entire coastline is amazing. I wish you would have shown a little more about Bandon of course. Btw, Cape Arago is pronounced Air-Uh-Go
@@brownjatt21 Hi, Sorry I didn’t find your question in time… I’m sure you’ve come and gone. Truthfully I don’t even know of a bar in the area… the food scene here is pretty skimpy… the tempura fish at Captains Choice is pretty good and Tais Dynasty is decent asian food…I hope you found what you were looking for and had a good time.
The Pacific Northwest is really a unique place within the US. The climate and greenery give it a fairytale atmosphere.

Did you stay in hotels?
Oregon should be on every American's bucket list !
Not just american's, im from Finland and its on mine too.
Oregon is fabulous, I used to relax just driving and exploring the greens landscapes all over the place. It is beautiful...

One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to. Absolutely magical.
17:44 Oregon has the most surreal sunsets.😌
Cheers to the state of oregon. They do a great job taking care of there parks and wild places.
Newport, my hometown. When the narrator said "circling gulls" I was like: yessssss.

The great thing about the coast is the stuff they show is great - and the stuff they dont is too. Its magical virtually the entire length.
Oregon is so beautiful!! I'm so glad that I live here!!!
It's easy buy with old or refurbished it's even easier if you travel by planes
These are such stunning views that you won't see anywhere else! WOW!

Shut the fuck up!
Wrong video. Take it elsewhere.
Nothing comes close to the Golden coast!
For what? looking at rocks and stuff? It's certainly not the best place for going swimming at the beach.
The Redwood Coast just south of the Oregon Coast I think is most beautiful.
Not even close and all the tourist ruin this place.
Breathtaking views. Before watching this documentary, i didn't know Oregon was that stunning.
