People ask me all the time. What is Kenya like? What do the people eat? What do the people do for fun? What is the weather like? Do you live in houses? How come you speak English? Are you speaking English? Can you speak African?
This is a student film created in the Spring 2015 documentary class-Film and Production program at OCCC. We wanted to understand why so many people have misconceptions about Kenya and other African countries. So, we filmed students from OCCC in Oklahoma City in the US on what they knew about Kenya while showing the reality of what Kenya is really like.
Footage used is a combination of original content and several You Tube videos and images and songs from the internet in general. Copyright belongs to the original authors of those videos and images and songs.
We showcased regular residents of Kenya, popular Kenyan Music groups- Frank Koine, Sauti Sol and Moipei quartet, Safari Sounds, Safari in the famous Maasai Mara, the beautiful Fairview Hotel, Java coffee house, the capital Nairobi City, members of our family and more... Discover Magical Kenya!
