Personally I liked the animation to fill gaps. I think it is difficult to film everything that you need to tell the whole story and filming you travelling from one town to another would be a bit dull so the animation is good. Well done I look forward to following the adventure.
Thank you so much for watching, and for your kind words, David! We're having lots of fun trying to come up with silly animations and learning how to make them. Hearing that you guys like them gives us the encouragement we need to keep working on them. We're about to publish the 4th episode, more animations to come :)
I can see that you two are putting a HUGE amount of effort into each episode. Amazing! How are you doing the animations? Are they hand-drawn animations brought into After Effects or Motion? I quite liked the drone shot of the snowy field with the animated boat in tow. That one must have taken a bit of time to key frame properly. Thanks for the great videos!
Hi Hiroki! This is Julia :) Thank you for your support, it means a lot to us! I do the animations with a French app called `Callipeg`, on the iPad. I make all the drawings, and Tyler always helps me improving them; often he also comes up with the ideas :) And other times he helps with the key framing, like in the case of the truck towing the boat. So glad you like them!!
You are doing a great job on these videos! We really enjoyed your visit to Bend Oregon. And thanks for the Zero Latency footage. Love you both, Uncle Terry
Welcome! Really happy to hear that. We spend a lot of time on those, it's great to hear they are liked! :) Also, no worries not he subs. That also takes quite a while, but we have an international family and know how hard it can be to find subs on online content. We'll do our best to keep them up!
Thanks Colin! We really appreciate it! It's a work in progress. We are working hard on #4! Our schedule will become more regular from January. Thanks for your patience.
Thank you for your kind words! We are quite patient with our RUclips. Trying to find that balance of making content we like and maintaining our personal lives and sanity! lol It's a lot of fun though, thanks for following along :)
Thank you! It's been a big learning process, and we probably spend way too much time on each episode, but we want to tell a good story, so that means a lot to hear.
Hey @Sailing Ramona, very nice animation, I really enjoy it nice content bro. and ofcourse your whole vlog. Anyway I'm your Dad's friend here from DAVAO CITY, Philippines.. Big shoutout to you and your Dad.
Great vid guys! I loved the animation! Keep it up. We just bought our first boat & are loving the sailing life. I’ll be watching on the sidelines cheering you on. 👍
Gracias!!
Your videos have al lot of charme. I really enjoy watching them! ;-) If you put more work on the thumbnails and titles, your channel will grow fast! :-)
Thank you! We are trying out different ideas in that regard, still learning all the different aspects of growing a channel. Just curious what about the thumbnails and titles do you think we could improve?
I think your Thumbnails are overloaded with too much stuff. Remember, on a tablet they appear tiny! Take a very cool picture of one of the boats you toured and a smiling Julia on the side. Add maybe (!) one or two clickbaity words in it. Titles: Take a shorter more concise title. The best is to copy (at least partly) titles of already successful videos with the same topic. Keywords of the topics your target audience want to see are also important
@@Taugtaug thanks for the advice. We did try to shorten the titles, but just so much we wanna say. Lol We will work on that. I have thought the same each time we make them.
You have the whole video to say everything you want to say. In the tite you say only the most appealing stuff. ;-) As I said: Look at successful videos of the same topic and copy their titles. :)

Thank you for including Doug and Hiro’s story. Your videos are great with the cute animation. Quite a journey to look for your ideal boat!

This is really a joy to watch, so entertaining and well produced. Hope everything is going well, take care, love you both
Thanks Dani! That means a lot! Everything is great! Hope to see you again in Spain, or maybe USA? 😉
IPY makes the best boats but they are slow, very slow. But, you feel safe in almost any weather.
I looked at a few of those. They have similar aspects to our Ingrid. But it was just out of our price range.
Such a great video :) really love the style, the animations are perfect. Thanks guys!
