- Join us for a walk up above Grasmere, where we spend the night and enjoy the fine weather and perfect views alongside a beer or two. I test out my new smartphone to see how it can cope with video and photos.

Loved the waterfalls here! The sound of the water is just soo caliming and soothing for the mind! This trip into nature's wildness is absoluetely beautiful❤❤❤

Yeah love the red not mamh people do and I wouldn't use it for lower down camping but it stands out nicely in the hills. Excellent hope you have a good one and the weather is looking fine for you 👍

Cracking video fella. Some gorgeous colours in the skies. I never get close enough to things like the dragonfly. very cool footage. I am very impressed with the photos at the end. It's getting nearer and nearer to not needing a proper camera any more. Phones are getting better and better. Get some dates penciled in for August....need a catch up mate.
Definitely mate im pff in August so plan on having a meet up....socially distanced ofcourse but still be great to see yous. Yeah the phone is impressive hopefully I learn to use it a little better and squeeze further features and quality out of it 👍. I was certain you were going in for a dip at the splash pool at Sour Milk Gill Steve.....must have been tempting on a got day mind. We were lucky last summer camping at Easedale Tarn, getting it all to ourselves but some tool had leaf a tent, can, bottles and needles on the next inlet, the night before, so you do tend to get some knob heads camping there. Impressive climbing to Tarn Crag with a camping pack on, so many false summits on the way up but real pleased you got the well deserved brilliant views, when you pitched up there and what an amazing sunset/time lapse. Morning could have been better for you but have to say, you got some cracking photos with your new smartphone! Great watch and real pleased I left this till I had the time to watch every minute of it, cheers Alan
Ha ha I was very tempted but instead planned on a dip on the way down whi h didn't really go to plan lol. Yeah its a stunning place but like you say too many idiots trashing it and will likely get worse as it seems a common trend these days, crying shame mate. Yeah its some climb up with a few very steep climbs but so glad we pressed on as the views almost 360 degrees are amazing and it was my first time up. I need to test this 260g bivvy out to lighten the load, I'll practically float up 😂. Thabks fir watching my friend amd hope you are fit and well 🙏. Take care Steve

Cheers Mark yeah normally we are racing againsf time but we just wanted to enjoy this one and take it all in. Still walked around 15km in total but instead of looking af our feet we savoured the views oh n met some cracking people 👌. Hope you are keeping well my friend, Steve 👍

great stuff mate a nice chilled relaxing one..just what the doc ordered.stunning views & iv'e said many times you don't have to be on the higher fells to have the views,you can appreciate the beauty of the biggy's from lower down..that samsung looks a decent bit of kit turning out footage & photo's like that..hope tha well anyhow mate & we need to get an outing pinned down.tfs.Andy.
Cheers mate and you're spot on you don't need the big hills when there's views like this lower down, mind the hike up the way we went was quite a walk in total we done around 16km up and down and coming down was direct so majority of it was the climb. Yeah well impressed with the little samsung lol does a job and the battery lasts a long time. Yeah we will sort something out soon hopefully in August sometime eh? Take care Andy, Steve

Cheers mate, tbh its not too bad o think they are after the bellends trashing the lake side and reservoirs. And tbh i was very tempted to jump in there i will next time 👌. Mind I'm going to have to get up the cheviots or local as I could squeeze 2-3 camps a month in then as I can leave late and get back home early. Cheers Anthony I was over the moon when we found the pitch as its rugged up there and hard to find good spots and time was against us. Worked out very well in the end. Ha ha the Samsung did OK nowhere near the standard of your fuji mind and just want to say your films are perfection keep them coming 👍
