This is the best grand slam for highlights by far. Meanwhile Roland Garros took like 7 years and a global pandemic to release highlights of the greatest match in their tournament’s history (Nadal vs Djokovic 2013).

The 4th set is the best set rafa played the entire tournament

This match made me realize Rafa still had it and that he could challenge for the title. To beat down a strong opponent like Karen was very impressive at the time

This was the exact match that actually made me believe Nadal can do it and go all the way. He looked so focused, so poised, more determined than ever! like nothing and no one can really stop him from reaching his goal.

Yeah, although dropping the 3rd set was quite uncharacteristic. Nadal usually cruises through matches like these. But that kinda set a trend for this tournament. Rafa had moments where he looked like he was playing his best tennis in 2 years (first two and fourth sets against Berrettini, first two sets here, last three against Medvedev) but also moments where he looked rusty and exhausted (3rd set here, 3rd set against Berrettini, first set against Mannarino, first two against Medvedev).

From this point on, we started to feel more assured that Nadal would bag his 21st GS. And yes, we have bn right. And very likely he is otw to collect many more this year n in the near future. Bravo Rafa.

Rafa was unreal in that 4th set, man did he up his game. I was a bit nervous after the 3rd when he got way more defensive and started dropping a long way behind the baseline because I wasn't sure he could win playing like that. He got real aggressive again in the 4th though, he hit some incredible winners in that set.

This match is a hard and good test to Rafa, he reach next competitive level after this win.
Let me remind 2017 AO 5 sets win against Alexander Zverev, reinforced his confidence.

Watching Rafa like this, he just looks unbeatable. There’s nothing he can’t do with the ball and his court coverage is exemplary. Karen played so good.

This had to be Rafa's best-played match of the tournament. Except for a hiccup in the 3rd set, the 2nd and 4th sets were 😳
