Yes! Using only tape the heel is always loose. By going from tape to paper and making an upper out of paper and trying it out one sees the loose places. Thank you. Well done!
Its the basic way getting measurements from different side! It reminds me when i first work on a shoe factory making a fishbone (we called it) i love making desing on a shoe! Youl be getting proud of your self, when you see the finish product!

i am one of your followers, i really like your method, i personally think it is suitable for me,, i have tried to apply the patterns into leather form but apparently something wasn't right, it failed, maybe the way i cut it, or sew it, i'm not so sure can you please continue the tutorial for applying the pattern into the leather and build it to the whole upper? it will be super helpful for me! thank you!

@@SKDEZIGN Why tape just one side of last ? The last is not symmetric or anywhere near symmetric. Would it not be worth the effort to tape both sides of the last and get a more precise pattern ?

We should use small banding tape. it will easy to making last leather paper. And thank you for sharing. You are good designer.
