A good gift would be to send some money. Can sound materialistic and stuff but that's important and you do not need POBOX. But looking at the center it,s a nice idea, yes. What would you send them? Good vibes
A better idea would be MOKKO saying some stuff he would like to try around the world, like food. So some people can send him this, but I am not sure if he would eat this even in tin can because there is crazy people around. But maybe other stuff....I do not think mokko and family really want or need material stuff, but maybe interesting stuff around the world, like cool beverages food, seeds to plants etc.... Or a system to store and use energy, I think energy is expensive in Jamaica, but not sure.
Extracting natural coconut milk the old way by hand, it's the most natural way. It's a thousand times purer than the ones in the cans that has a lot of preservatives.
@@kerokero_furogu I was just about to say that how ever the canning process can effect the taste tho like take canned tomatoes.. those tend to lose sweetness during canning so you need to add something sweet to the dish like a carrot to counter that when using canned tomato's
Everything with peppers is balance. Man I just love watching this channel. I just sit back and chill, watch Mokko cook.. I love cookin. I grow my own peppers in my garden, and I've discovered the lower heat of Anaheims and Poblanos to be just a joy. I couldn't make this dish as good as Mokko can! Everything he touches seems like gold.
This is the weekend jumpoff! I run, run, run, Monday through Friday...working two jobs, fighting crazy traffic, dealing with angry, stressed out people. Finally, Friday night everything comes to a screeching halt and I get to fall back with the latest installment of Ras Kitchen. The landscape, cinematography, the soundtrack...there's just one word to describe it....IRIE!!! SOOOO appreciated!
“Cross breeding” takes place through pollination. If you grow a scotch bonnet next to a Jamaican red hot pepper or even a bell pepper the phenotype(characteristics) shape flavor heat will be different in the seeds started from those peppers. Cross pollination happens through insects and wind
Ima try my hands at some pepper pot soup! Might not be as awesome as Mokkos but ima try my best Fam. All blessing to you Matthew, Brodie, Mokko, Coopy, and Ratty and the gang. I feel like I am part of your family and these videos make my days so awesome. Can’t thank you enough and I love all of you 🙌🏼
I can't stop watching these, I'm not even wathing in any specific order. Just loving it. And yes I know I made a spelling mistake, I just keep going, life's too short to go back and chanfe every little thing.
I am loving this 🙌😌 is relaxing a nice talk a nice splif and a nice receipe💚 amazing I want to visit Jamaica like this so bad.. i already went to antigua and Grenada and is great
Rasta Mokko, a man richer then most. Hey Matthew, stay warm up there. When you get cold think about this warm soup and the warm Jamaican sun. Thanks again for sharing this. 😍👍🏻
I'm amazed at the sheer variety of beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables that grow on this island. I've been considering moving to Jamaica...and these videos are making up my mind to make the move. Goodbye USA
*Matthew, I don't mean to complain, because I really do love me some Ras Kitchen... But sometimes I wish the episodes went a bit longer and we got to see the dish made in it's entirety in one episode, know what I mean? Maybe one day, give us a longer special where it's a full cook out? No offense intended my man, just always left wanting more Mokko!*
I love pepper-pot soup with hard produce. And excess minced garlic, its natural companion. Also some cured salted beef that's imported from Newfoundland, Canada. Oh la la. The wood smoke infused in the landed boat. It sings delectable. Mokko's lifestyle is a boon to nature; minimalism. A 1st world country uses 20X the resources per capita as a Jamaican. Aytes brethren.
I always enjoy the music selections that you add to the videos. Very nice, cool and fitting. Jamaica 🇯🇲 ❤️ . These are the most interesting and therapeutic videos to watch.
Ras mokko loving your show you and Matthew this is the way i love to cook. bring on some more. my dad is from st thomas love to see the background of morant bay thanks guys for keeping us connected.
Matthew, the peppers develop differently depending on individual pepper (on the same bush). For example, trinidad scorpions often have a small pointed tip, like a scorpion stinger, but often dont. Many times they are round, sometimes skinnier and longer. Same w scotch bonnet, habanero, all of them. I grow every type year round and the variation on the same bush (in a pot) is crazy. Yes you can graft as many citrus, or Annona, or Prunus, apple, or really any congruent Genus group onto each other. As a horticultural experimenter, I have found that some types of a plant from a genus are exceptional. For citrus, this man needs a phenomenal orange tree. The "golden nugget" is absolutely phenomenal for a mandarin (prob the best orange on the market except for the Dekopon or "Sumo" citrus (Pongkan mandarin crossed with navel), which is impossible to get bio mat of unless you jar culture the stems from the top from one in the store (possible to do with a lot of monistat in the AGAR culture-otherwise it will get hammered by fungus-I tried and found the limiting point). Would you guys be willing or open to receiving seeds and or trees? I see Mokko's hort and his biodiversity layout and it is phenomenal, and would love to be able to contribute and open the avenue for others to do so. Thanks.
Bring some seeds for Mokko! thanks for the info....just read an amazing book by John McPhee just called "Oranges:....never knew a plant book could be so interesting :0
Do mek mi see pot! But back sweet memories for me. My hubby of 38 years was from Kingston Jamaica and cooked all these things. I am a Canadian and I would love to return one last time.
The concept and ideas are wonderful. I just came across this channel and it has brought back so many fond memories as a child in Jamaica. One word of advice I would like to see Mokko and his family, really reap the rewards of the seeds they have sown. I’ve watched the more up to date videos and the earlier ones. And I can’t help but feel, you are somewhat exploiting this man. Please share your profits equally and do not rob this man. There should be much more visible efforts made to upgrade this mans lifestyle, without taking away the authentic rustic feel of Jamaica.
I bet Mokko is from a tribe of Levi line...he is so calm methodical and slow...it is really impressive and makes me want to just relax...its a completely different style from say Gordon Ramsey...I like this guy's method of cooking better...it is like campfire cooking
Just subscribed yesterday much respect to ras and Matthew this is better then anything on the food network i would love one day to travel to Jamaica and learn from the master ras bless up and much respect u guys are wicked awesome much love
I love this channel so much because you learn a lot mokko Love I hope to go to Jamaica very soon this there is a great way to learn thank you for teaching us
AHHH, THE SCOTCH BONNET, THEY SAY AS LONG AS YOU DON'T USE ALL OF THE INNER PARTS OF THE PEPPER, THAT WILL REDUCE THE HEAT INTAKE AND GIVE YOU MORE FLAVOR INSTEAD OF STRAIGHT BURN... I'D SERIOUSLY COOK THOSE CHICKENS WITH SOME COCO AND ARROW LEAF...
This is living!!!!!! He is so at peace! Maybe America can learn from this family??,,,,
Can learn a lot from this man. Humbleness, planting food, the earth and peace and love
Screw the studies, let's watch ras kitchen!
hell yeah
Big up Lietuva :)
My thoughts exactly ;)
@InTheAir1122 stfu man
I consider watching Moko cook studying. :P
Mokko should have a P. O. Box so the fans can send him and the family gifts.

@@RasKitchen as a kid that was a Sunday chore after church. Love this series
canned coconut milk has no preservatives, that's the whole point of canning it in the first place
exactly. I remember when I was younger I was on grate duty have to grate the coconut and the cheese for the macaroni pie.

Sounds like you skipped out on simple scientific lessons, everyone knows seeds are spread through weather, birds, and other animals
