Mike Holms Drinking game - Client says "This is something the inspector should have seen" - 1 sip, Mike says it - 5 sips.
Mike finds asbestos = two sips
Mike’s team uses blue wood = three sips
Mike’s team uses blue drywall = one sip
Mike finds mold= four sips
LMAO I'm in 🍻
Drink a whole bottle when you hear "Make it right"
And everyone playing this game gets alcohol poisoning! Not the best idea!

I love Mike Holms home improvement shows. I learned what new materials are used now. Better ways. Quality work!
Their little girl is hilarious at the end lol
Ikr,,, she sounds like a 60 year old man from the Bronx who's been smoking for 50 years...🤣
The mum was kinda funny too, although given the chance, I'd probably try to lay one on Mike too,,, and grab a handful or two of that firm builder's arse...😉 🤣🤣🤣

Another excellent Holmes "Makes It Right" Episode! Thank You, I enjoyed it very much!
Lamoooo oooo🤣 I laughed so hard when she wiped Damien's kiss away🤪
Wild woman that one.
Love watching this show, but the wife literally drove me up a wall.
I hear that! Wow.
Their little girl is so cool! She looks just like my oldest at her age.
My first thought after watching this episode is "I'd be surprised if these people are still married, you know she has had affairs.". Then thought "actually they might be because this is a serious toxic relationship and he's definitely been beaten down."
This woman is a piece of work and I hope that girl isn't also a piece of work now.
Here it come's a Home inspection the Mike Holmes way. If you are going to inspect a home inspect it right and build it right the first time.
I would find out if the inspector IS an employee of the realty.
Love that lady shes a riot.
the hubbies is like whats going in on lol
“Gut the whole thing. Go new.” Best words the homeowner will ever hear.
What amazes me is what these experienced eyes see and the ‘fix’ they choose without pulling everything down. This is proficient, experienced experts who care about their work. The builder should stop building and spend a year as an apprentice with Mike’s crews.
It seems like this couple got the "can't see it from my house" inspector!! It is not that he missed it, he just ignored it, why, because he couldn't see it from his house!!!
I say the problem started with the Architect.
But since I studied architecture for two decades, what do I know...
Are you an architect?
What architect? You can rest assured no architect was used for the design of this ill conceived pile. This was the work of someone who didn't need any architectural expertise. They knew what they wanted.
@@MisterJeffy Didn't WANT any architectural expertise*
They needed it lol, it's fucking trash.
If you are considering purchasing a home, it is important to be aware that home inspectors may not always catch every issue, especially in older homes built before building codes existed. Additionally, new homeowners may have second thoughts about their purchase after living in the home for a while. Mike Holmes is trying to educate us all about these potential issues so that we can make informed decisions when buying a home.
Newer shower hardware has rubber gaskets so you no longer have to caulk them.
so kitch furniture !
Saws all best tool in the world.
“Nice fuckin house” lolll
🤘
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Holmes, what kind of work shoes do you and Damon wear ? They seem to be similar.
10:20 does that mean the deck is sloped down? Looks pretty steep if so.
She is annoying.
The video is from 2011, and their 7-year old is now a 20-something, so Mike is probably going to make her house for her. I hope she remembers and hold him to his “Deal!”, though he might regret saying it!
LOL, are these people for real?
The wife was driving me insane.
Why would buy a house with mold issues in the first place ???
Question If A Inspector Misses a ton of stuff that ,Mr Holmes has to fix does that inspector have to pay or get in trouble
Nope and nope. It’s like if you get a vehicle inspection. It says it in the small print we try to catch everything but shit happens
Why was Damon walking around the basement barefoot?
To feel the dampness. Bare feet will detect things you won't ever know if your shoes are on.
That woman is a nightmare. I pity her husband.....
5 mins in and I was thinking the same. She's the one doing 90% of the talking leads me to believe her husband is a simp.
Same
Letting our sexism flag fly, are we?
@@DenaliDad when it’s blatant is it really sexism or realism
Wow you people are sick
On the lips ???
Are these so called inspectors ever brought to book or do they get a slap on the fingers?
Nothing happens, most of time all you can do is leave a bad review lol.
What I want to know is where these people have been that they do not know who Mike Holmes is and Mike Holmes has the resources and the people that can fix anything even Mike says anything can be fixed it's just the amount of money it takes to fix it
Here before that one guy comes in and says "Scammer Mike! 😨😨😨😨" like he does on every single post.
Love you man.
Screw that guy
Sad that the guy actually follows this channel JUST to be notified about new uploads... He's giving the channel $$$
You know why right? There was a lawsuit against Mike Holmes that alleges houses in a "Holmes Approved Homes" development in Meaford, Ont., were built with defects and were eventually demolished. But, Mike stated that his company had no access to the houses during construction.
@@AneudiD78 Yep... which doesn't make him a scammer at all. He probably shouldn't have agreed to have his name slapped on anything he wasn't invovled in, but money talks. Good dude, just bad judgment on this one.
@@MB-hc2xw Agreed. A scammer is the lowest of the low and Mike has helped out hundreds of homeowners for decades using his show for good.
VERY WEIRD THAT THEY HAVE LEFT THE PIPE WHERE THE BATHTUB WATER SPOUT
ITS A STRICTLY SHOWER
SO WHY IS TBERE THE PIPE BECAUSE YOU CANT HAVE A BAYH
Thought the same thing.
I have noticed the tub spout on a lot of these episodes, I wonder if it's a Canadian thing, maybe it's so you can clean the shower without spraying yourself with the shower head.
probably since no bathtub it can be used to fill buckets for cleaning as filling them in sinks can be a pain and the shower function also would do a bad job of it.
It is a toe tester for water temperature from what I have been able to find.
I NEVER SEEN A TUB WATER SPOUT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WALL
SO WHATS ITS PURPOSE AND A REALLY STUPID INSTALLER
Multiple functions but was mainly installed as a toe tester. Testing the water with your toe before you jump in the shower. Sometimes they’re installed a little higher and women (and I guess some dudes) use it to shave their legs.
Canadians are weird. Why can't they use their hands to feel the water temperature?
Also, you really don't want to put pressure on pipes, so why not put a niche or a shelf for shaving?
What does the builder care, the house was sold and he got his money.
when licensed home inspectors miss so much do they lose their licenses
It's not constructive for the home owner to talk about feeling stupid. This couple aren't contractors or inspectors, so, a lot of these things they just wouldn't know about, and, most buyers trust what the inspector says. That's not stupid, that's ignorant, and there's nothing wrong with that. We're ALL ignorant about all kinds of things, until we learn them
wtf you want five bedrooms with one kid? Makes sense
Home inspectors need to be licensed and trained and keep up to date
Let's hear it for us LEO'S.......!!!!
How could they afford that house...they dk t look very rich
This why you stay away from McMansions
She believes anything is possible when it comes to their special purchases, but she called Mike Holmes to fix problems she doesn't believe is possible?
Damon is such a drama queen.
So let me get this straight:
They had mold in the kitchen and REPLACED it.
But meanwhile theres a significant crack in the main structure of their home, and didnt even bother to fill it as the home inspector suggests.
These people are idiots
They said the inspector said it wasn't an issue just a little concrete. Mold is a massive issues and needs immediate attention.
"...significant crack in the main structure..."
1: The inspector did not call it a significant crack. It was a smaller crack, and the inspector said, to quote Corey, "Just put a bit of cement, and you'll be good."
2: It is not part of the main structure.
3: It got bigger, after the winter they lived in the building. After the "inspector" saw it in the first place.
4: The pillar had not shifted. There were no other signs of structural damage. There were no signs of any kind, that the house was in imminent danger of collapse.
Simply put, it was a crack in the porch. Yes, it was beside the pillar, but that pillar is only supporting the deck, and over hanging roof, but the pillar itself was still on solid material. Again, the cracked and broken part is beside the pillar.
The water being let in, is only going to the cold room. A room that is sealed off from the main part of the house, and is not heated, nor is the air inside of it circulated within the rest of the house.
Mold in the kitchen however, presents a significant possibly health risk, especially to a child who has a developing immune system. It is not idiotic to prioritize their health, over a crack in the porch.
Called a ear L
Thays the most hideous dining room set along with those 2 goofy looking bar stools. To each their own I guess just not my taste
“We put in a new kitchen” 🤮🤮🤮
Holy crap this woman is nuts. She had me cringe from the first 3 minutes talking about Barbara Streisand and her ugly furniture.
Why is there a tub faucet in the shower?? Should have removed it? 😊
Why is there a faucet in the shower? It was all open. Why not change the system that needed a faucet while you were in there?
Maybe the owners wanted to keep it? Who knows. Maybe they like to wash their feet with it?
Called a toe tester. Test the water with your toes before you jump in.
I wonder if it's for cleaning the shower without the shower head spraying you.
Wow, she’s really annoying. Probably would never ever try to fix her house.
I hate those shower stalls. You are always hitting your elbows, no matter how skinny you are!
Is it considered OK to hold a 7 years old kid like a baby? Seems like it's maybe 4 when you stop doing this but I could be wrong. My kid is 3 years old so I don't know yet :)
I'm trying to imagine why anyone would buy this hideous mcmansion with so many obvious construction/design defects. They wanted humongous. The hack developer gave them humongous problems. Nothing about this oversized, ramshackle eyesore makes sense. It was obvious from the incongruous assemblies. Have these people never seen a house before? Blaming it on the home inspector is an abdication of common sense.
Why the hell are people in Canada old homes and complaining theres issues OF COURSE THERES ISSUES ITS OLD AF DONT BUY OLD HOMES THAT SIMPLE
It’s not an old house it 7 years old so a fairly new build
@@JamesCorp barbara streisand lived there its old
@@delyn13 are you kidding? Did we saw the same episode? It was her DINING ROOM TABLE you wet piece of wood.
New homes have issues. All of the issues this house had, _were there from when it was built._
A lot of the houses features on these shows are new houses with problems because of worthless contractors cutting corners, or just absolutely having no idea how to do something, but saying they do.
Did you even watch this episode?
Seriously. The 2x4s in the concrete of the front porch, were there when the home was built.
The bad caulking on all of the windows and doors, was there when the home was built.
The shit deck was there when the home was built.
The sill cast under the door, was done when the home was built.
The thin concrete floor in the basement, and all the issues under it, was there when the home was built.
The shower fixtures not being attached to the studs, was a problem since the house was built.
The drywall and bad shower install period, were there from the moment the house was built.
Not one, single problem in this house, was caused by age, or bad renovations. All of it, was because of bad building techniques when the house was made.
Since when is seven years 'old'?
Anyone else pick up the kinda condescending tone of Mike about that KAREN!?
