I know Agro Squirrel Narrates had a problem with demonization and had to change the background or something. Might reach out to him and see what the fix is.
So if a few seconds is 3 seconds, and 3 seconds is 6% 1 second is 2%. it would take 50 whole seconds of that laser firing just to break the sheilds assuming 0 extra power was diverted it would probably take over a minute of fire to cause the sheilds to fail

Bgm is a little bit loud, it keep drowning the story. Even if you make the volume low it much louder than the storytelling.
