When Kevin said the meatballs had a grisly texture, that did it for me. I’ll pass.
I understand!
I used to love the spaghettios with meatballs until they recalled them for uncooked meatballs. Now I prefer plain spaghettios
Appreciate both of you trying this. I will buy whenever i find it, im from PA. I used to like the one in the can but that was yrs ago. The recipe was changed, more watery. Keep up the good work introducing new products.
Thank you so much!
Just had it ... Very delicious and if you'd tell me it was from a bag I'd say no way as it seems identical to the can version I had as a kid way, way back lol! Great review, have a great week!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
It's funny that I just ate a can of spaghetti-o's/meatballs yesterday for lunch. lol I'm sure I'd enjoy this...I'll be on the lookout for it, and I enjoyed watching the process as well as the review. Thanks! 😄
Chef boyardee supremacy!!!!
He's my favorite chef on the food network!
I have been eagerly anticipating this review since you showed this product in your haul! It looks like you guys liked it but not as well as you like the Alfredo, at least in Kevin's case since Tami does not do white sauce! Lol.
I was really hoping this would be amazing but at least it exceeded expectations. I have really high hopes for the cheese ravioli! I gather you will be showing that review tomorrow? 🤣
And again it is worth mentioning that our Walmart carries the spaghetti and the Alfredo for $7.99, almost a dollar cheaper than Meijer. We have not seen the cheese ravioli in our area yet.
Yes! That review is coming tomorrow 😃
@@TamiDunn Please be yummy! Fingers crossed 🤞
Hey TAMI and Kevin.......You guys gave a real good analysis of that S @ M B dinner and to be honest it looks pretty good.....By telling everyone that it tastes better than the canned version, I would try it but not necessarilly but it.....The canned pasta was mostly purchased for kids lunches I believe.......If any C. B. A . D .products came to my pantry or freezer, I would probably eat them in a pinch
but mostly I'd rather make my own......CHOW !.....
I’m so glad this helped 😃
I grew up eating Chef Boyardee, so I am definitely going to be trying this. So curious to compare it to the canned ones. From your video, it looks a lot better😊 Thanks for reviewing it, at least I know it's edible!!
These are much better than the cans.
Like the one from yesterday, this would be easy for my dad, but he would need more sauce. For the price though my mom would rather cook some pasta and frozen meatballs for him.
My dad likes the cans because the sauce is sweet... 😖And he only eats sweet Ragu sauce.
My homemade sauce is far from what he eats.. (If you can't tell, he's extremely picky 🙃)
Even more than yesterday's Alfredo, the price on this makes it a non-starter. Ii make spaghetti & meatballs several times a month. This is a 2lb bag, but that includes the weight of the meatballs and sauce packets. I get a 1lb box of Barilla ($1.69), Prego Sweet SSG & Roasted Red Peppers ($2.29) and a 24-count bag of Rosina Meatballs ($3.49), for a total of $7.50. And I'll get more food out of it. I heat the meatballs in my sauce, and since I have to dirty a pan, I might just as well go home-made. I'll bet these will be discontinued by Fall.
I will probably give this one a shot if I find it. I make a good spaghetti and meatballs myself, but I work so much now that I usually have no desire or energy left for any real cooking. The meatballs in the canned stuff are kind of nasty with hardly anything resembling meat, and yes, I ate them a lot as a kid myself.
The single serving Healthy Choice are pretty good and portioned.
i grew up with my grandma making spaghetti with the canned sauce from chef boyardee. now i can only find it on ebay. i'm wondering if it's that same sauce flavor that i miss.
I hope you find these so you can try them 😃
I wonder if the sauce is more like a regular tomato sauce you’d get in Europe. Normally you don’t add onion, mostly, and garlic and herbs to a tomato sauce. This sounds good which is quite surprising for me. Thanks for the review.
It was surprising to me too!
Sounds good
Oh no! The thought of grizzle in the meatball turns me off.
I’ll make my own span meatball dinner. I always cook a big pot of sauce n meatballs and freeze bags. Spaghetti takes less then 10 minutes. I’d feel better w my own. Sorry.
Thank you for a great review; letting in on taste n textures.
Enjoy a sunny day.😊
I agree. I don’t want that texture either.
Oh wow i never knew that they made frozen meals. Sometimes I buy their can food.
They are new 😃
My first thought was it looks like a bag of tumbleweeds, but I like your bird nest description better lol. Thanks, I look forward to your reviews every morning!
Thank you so much 😊
The spaghetti nests made it look gourmet, but once it was cooked fully, it looked like the same product from the can 😭. I prefer to eat meatballs that are one kind of meat, but I have eaten that chicken, pork & beef combo before. When I see meats with multiple proteins I’m like nooooope! I wouldn’t buy these canned or frozen 😂😂
not a big fan of chef boyardee but thanks for the review! :)
No worries! 😃
Thank you for the review! You guys are such troopers to endure some of these. LOL 😂 These bags would be ideal for mixed eating preferences because the sauce is in pouches and could be adjusted accordingly. Also, it could be an easy “meal prep” for microwave meals by simply dividing up the pasta nests, meatballs, and sauce pouches into 4 containers. 😊
We are happy that these meals are better than their canned versions.
Walmart has it for 7.98
it is little bit overprice for me because I can make it for less in aldi.
Thank you for letting us know 😃
What going on
Stouffers has a family sized spaghetti and meatballs… but truly in 15 minutes you could easily make pasta and heat up some frozen meatballs in sauce… I’m sure it would be much better… the meatballs in the can of pasta are terrible and if these are like those I would never get this… my dad would get us get us spaghetti Os with meatballs and I wouldn’t eat the meatballs… my dad would eat them for me… he loved them…
That’s great that you shared them!
The way you describe the textures for this is a turn off for me. The pasta leaning toward the softer side. Also, Kevin saying that he wouldn’t eat the meatballs by themselves. I want to be able to enjoy all equally. Haha! I ate Spaghetti O’s too. I haven’t had it since childhood. The price is good for this, but I don’t think it would be a buy for me. Thanks for a great review.
I would just as soon make my own or have the Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisine versions.
Chicken, pork, beef made me pass on this. When I get frozen meatballs, no chicken is allowed.
If you aren’t allowed to eat chicken, I can understand you passing on this.
@@TamiDunn I am allowed to eat chicken. Just not in meatballs.
Lol... twirls of spaghetti... but the description of the meatballs through me off...
I know. It’s not a great description 😄
I would not buy that, make your own meat balls and spaghetti sauce.
These meals are for convenience.
@@TamiDunn well it only takes 10 minutes to boil spaghetti, heat up some meatballs, and pour spaghetti sauce over it.
Same here because it is overprice for me and it is not quickly then you making it yourself.
