I tried driving the Sienta in Osaka and it was pretty smooth driving car, and not hard to maneuver even in the rural areas in Nara where only one car can pass thru in one time (like how the Malaysia back alley). And also tried riding a Uber with Sienta, first time riding as a passenger in the 2nd row. It is very classy and comfortable and I can't say much because it is a very quiet and smooth car, and the rear air conditioning units working well.
That's the cutest compartment I've ever seen too. :D Can't believe the design of a car interior still look like this in 2017. :( Just got my 2016 cx5 and love it. Like your review on the 2.2L Diesel version as well.
currently i owned this car because of you bobby. so far i do love this car. but no more high speed driving. being uncle driver at middle or left lane on highway..
This is so amazing,a video that I can relate, many videos from Malaysia people don't talk english so I can't understand yet many vehicles there are like the ones we drive here at home in Kenya, thankyou for this brother.
I really enjoy your reviews. It is interesting to see these cool cars we do not get in N America. You speak well and have good presentation. Just subscribed. Keep up the good work.
Hi booby i thankful for the info I'm buying used sienta and all or most of the review ar in Chinese I'm getting older model 2014 I'll see how it works out in the next 10 to14 days keep up the good work and thank you again.
If only Sienta improve in term of center console, 2nd row have arm rest in the middle, left and right arm rest also, I believe the owner will ignore the external design. Haha
Hi Bobby, Could u do a comparison between Avanza and Sienta? I am kinda stuck in between the 2 and your view is very important for my next car. Thanks.
Hi Bobby, been waiting for your review on Subaru Forrester. Anyway, nice review on Toyota Sienta but it still looks weird and not appealing at all. Lolz!
As much as the seat mechanism and packaging is clever, however it does take a lot of steps to get it up and down unfortunately. With handsful of luggage or stuff it would be quite mafan la. But it is crazy smart. However the much cheaper (and rudametary) Ertiga is more refined surprisingly. And the 4 spd auto and engine combo is almost perfect.
japan manufactured sienta has a better interior design the gearn stick is at the front the button area. and the handbrake is at the foot. so u have a large empty space in the middle is nice actually.
Is this the right car for me? I want a nice comfortable car but can climb a hill without screaming to redline all the time. CVTs don’t really bother me since I used to drive a scooter to work back in the day... I already have a nice Audi A7 to drive quick and need a 7 seater for family use
Hi Bobby, are u gonna test drive Honda BR-V? I am deciding whether to buy Honda BR-V 1.5L V, OR Toyota Innova 2.0 G AT, OR Toyota Sienta 1.5V, OR Nissan Grand Livina AT 1.8 AT, OR Proton Exora 1.6 CFE Super Premium CVT.. Gonna use it to ferry 2 gorillas and 3 medium gorillas.. Any recommendation ah? hehe I trust your judgement and I love your review, so genuine and so cool! :D
+Elaine Ho then you should go for the Nissan X Trail if you don't mind the lack of side curtain airbags. It's a great 7 seater SUV. But the third row is rather tight for my size, perhaps you can go for a test drive.
@@alvinsonlampunanakphilip5613 very comfort. I like it. But perfomance. Maybe. Ehm standart. Because cvt. But. Its okay lah. Before sienta i use daihatsu sirion or perodua myvi. I think.,more better toyota sienta.
+Mohd Khairol Anuar Ilias As a 7 seater, most certainly the Sienta. But as an everyday every other thing, the BRV is more suited to Malaysian lifestyle, road conditions and overall use. The Sienta is arguably a more 'advanced' car, provided you are ok with the form factor. It's a very unique, japanese market vehicle that was exported.

Hi Bobby. How would you choose for the below priority? Thanks Practicality (Sienta or BR-V) Engine responsiveness and daily use pick up performance (Sienta or BR-V)
+Benjamin Chong Sienta (Daily, Sienta, when you wanna do something with it, BRV) BRV (slightly) Evenly matched, as in both equally average as they were never meant to be fast
Hey Bobby, the question is not for this vid lah but still car related stuff. Do you know why there's distinct lacks of active safety system like radar adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency breaking technology presence in cars in Malaysia? Even the Germans don't even offer it in most of their models except some really really expensive full size car in Malaysia? (Excluding the Volvos) Is that because Malaysia people don't bother about the active safety stuffs or the manufacturers are trying to cut costs here? Even the base spec Corollas in US are equipped with Active Safety Technology. I applaud Hyundai for putting it in the Ioniq. Btw, can you do a full review on the Ioniq?
+Carlton C oic ... first of all, our road markings are poor. Secondly, we are a nation with high taste (like singaporeans) and low income (unlike singaporeans) compounded with high taxes. Almost all car maker's safety systems are optional, (volvo comes standard). But because of our tax systems, after you add in say a RM10,000 option, it becomes RM30,000 added when it arrives Malaysia. Then Malaysians (who are poor) will complain. So car makers have to plan, which are the things Malaysians wanted most? Power seats or panoramic roof? Bang & Olufsen or Active safety system? Say for example, Mazda's cars have all these, but Malaysians want the remote start engine of Hondas, because it's fun to show your friends, easy to play with it, and you can on the car's aircond first before going up - even if you have to do so standing just 2 cars away.
Well for my understandings (correct me if i am wrong), the current UNECE Regulation that Malaysian Road Transportation Department does not require active city safety systems as a standard in Malaysia. For now what i know there is Hyundai Ioniq and Honda CR-V has the Honda Sensing Technology. In Japanese model even the Kei cars manufacturer like Daihatsu has Daihatsu Smart Assist, which is really helpful in reducing vehicle related injuries. Only if local manufacturer like Perodua, can together bringing out R&D projects developing safety system suite, with the help from Perodua and Toyota, then only will bring out the marketing value for safer cars.
+atiqah ridzuan you mean the third row or the space after the third row is folded or the space after the third row is up? I would say in terms of space the Sienta is slightly better
+Moo Tik Pin eh i like its quirky design. And to me the Multipla is an awesome car too! The real ugly cars to me is the Toyota Unser, Avanza, the Axia ...
I tried driving the Sienta in Osaka and it was pretty smooth driving car, and not hard to maneuver even in the rural areas in Nara where only one car can pass thru in one time (like how the Malaysia back alley).

I fall in love with the car already after you show the boot size

This car aged very well. It looks like the current Toyota Yaris designs

It would be great if the parking brake was foot operated, not handbrake. So it has a big and comfy armrest compartment for the Sienta
+Kelvin S. Yeah man!
NICE REVIEW..... cancelled my booking for sienta....
hahahahahah
Good, dont buy sienta..I agree..
ijan fienas what you buy ?
Why? What’s wrong with Sienta?
since 1999,opel zafira has similar clever seating system
Can't wait for you to review Honda BRV. As their prices are quite similar, so which one do you think is better suit for Malaysia market?
Great review . My wife drives the older model and wondering whether to get this .
that speedo LOOKS GREAT !!!
Thanks.
I still don't know why some people hate this car....
those hating this car are crazy
Could you also review their after sales service and cost of ownership along with the car?
U r good at presentation and explanation, thanks Bob, Advice me between sienta and probox?which is good for up country driving
Never use the video to criticise the car. Its brilliant in the design. More for family.
Malaysians are so lucky they have Toyota alphard vellfire and sienta the good mpvs while most of us in Sri Lanka have to suffer with the Toyota avanza
How is the sound-proofing at high speed?
Thank you Bobby for your honest review. I know what you mean. 😊
Honda BR-V please bobby..BTW love ur review..
My reaction when the 3rd row seats folded under the 2nd row seats. Whattttttttt
a good review.. why? because you brought up issues that I have not considered about this car.. TQ
I believe the person who design this car is actually responsible for the new estima design as well. This one might intended to be mini estima.
Thanks
can you review Ertiga ?
This car can telescopic steering?
Hi Bobby! It will be good if you can review the Honda Mobilio. Cheers:D
+tanjy92 i wish i could! But Honda Mobilio not in Malaysia
just put sienta 2nd row blower to alza..and yes you are clever ! otherwise Sienta more efficiency than the alza.. tq respect for the review bro!
Do Toyota Sienta available in China?
After seeing your review, I think Nissan Grand Livina worth much more in terms of value and price.
Hi Bobby, been waiting for your review on Subaru Forrester. Anyway, nice review on Toyota Sienta but it still looks weird and not appealing at all. Lolz!
+Seen Paul Tang apologies, i've requested but at times they dont have the car. I'll try again :)
bootspace not as huge as i initially thought. Shuttle seems like a better deal..Freed?
Will the third row passengers be safe if got hit in the rear.. . especially jn high speed accident in the highway?

Calvin Ng// B-RV the low-spec version un-balanced for my opinion

hi bobby.. what abt serena review? really looking forward..
How do i adjust the side mirrors?
Not sure if u can off the screen or not , but u can make the screen black by pulling down like an android. Theres a button to "off the screen"
Tq for the review. The no passenger arm rest part make me not interested anymore with this car.
I like the word you use at the end.. sienta is a much better alza.. alrite. The summary's there. Tq bobby
Tq for being honest. Was thinking of buying.. but i guess.. not for me then.
