I enjoyed our cruise on the Columbia and snake with American I am wondering why there was a fan on the floor blowing. Was there a water issue and this was to dry it out.

Yes. There was flooding in the cabin adjacent to ours which seeped into our cabin. We had the blower for a number of days.
