I went through here with a driver named chin and with friends 12 years ago. Jamaica has so many hidden gems! Chin was an awesome guide, and knew his stuff. My advice is visit Murphy hill, amazing views!

I actually felt a bit claustrophobic as you drove through Fern Gully.
What's odd, and seems out of place are the occasional structures that looks like small shops.
Fascinating place. I'll have to read up on how Fern Gully came to be.
Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful videos.

Ive always wanted to see what Fern gully looks like it’s absolutely beautiful. My other favourite place is Holland Bamboo, I remember back in the days I’m not sure if it was radio RJR or JBC and one of the intros was through the hills and valleys and I’m sure it said Fern gully But this is going back a long time ago 😊😊😁 I enjoyed your video 💚💛🖤🇯🇲

I had a driver bring me through the ferngully and he says through ur change out the window and watch the kids. They were going after it like gold. I didn't feel bad, to them it was American money and the driver knew what he was doing, hooking up the people.

Is this road travelled @ nights?
Sure can't afford 2 experience mechanical failure along this route esp @ night.

@Freda Shabba I haven't hear of any incident within Fern Gully regarding crime, however, the road can be dangerous to travel on during the rainy season as it is between 2 valleys

Ok. I look @ the video & I don't recall c-ing any electric poles with lighting for the area. Noted vehicles with headlights coz as the presenter alluded, overgrowth darkens most areas since lots of ground sunlight is blocked. I assume intense darkness @ nights.
Also noted road narrow & winding in areas & area is fairly isolated - exception of motor vehicles.
Agst this backdrop I ask the qu & made the statement.
If some1 experience problems lets say arnd a corner, the place already so dark. If an/ther vehicle come from the same direction it'll b dfcult 2 c the crippled vehicle & its occupant/s in front of it may b until its too late. My thoughts more on vehicular accidents/deaths? Also how practical is it 2 diagnose & rectify problem in that kind or darkness? Nt 2 think bout the possibility of flooding if its raining. How bout some1 unfamiliar with the area how do they get help 2 get out of there?
Alright since u mention crime, guess this can't b out ruled then even tho I n'er had this in mind.
Coz for me I wudnt travel there during the night. Its lonesome as is already during the day bsides I wudnt c the beauty of that place then, so its a no no for me.
My qu. still stand tho. 2 the best of ur knowledge.
