Hawaiian Silky used to be the truth at the start of my journey!! It was like how eco styler is to me today! I decided to revisit what used to work for me back then! I may do a series on this, some products I used to use are no longer being sold...😔 so we shall see my loves!

I still love the Hawaiian silky 14 in 1 it makes detangling a breeze. Great for transitioning hair
Love Hawaiin silky, it works Just fine, I have 4d hair texture You have to apply product and wait until next day to repeat the process again next day. Hair grinks up all the product when it's dehydrated.
I am seeing it less and less on the shelves at Sally's.

I tried Hawaiian silky activator gel for the 1st time today and LOVED it. However, I did NOT use the 14n1 spray. I used the gel by itself after a wash and condition. It gave me definition and shine with zero crunch.

I bought the 14 in 1 because you raved about it back in the day. It wasn't too terrible and I still use it OCCASIONALLY as a refresher between washes.

I just started using it and i found it to be great. Although i do couple it with other products it does help my hair stay soft throughout the day. I am loving it.

I always like mixing the Hawaiian silky gel with eco styler gel half and half.... provides a soft crunch free well defined wash and go 👌👌👌

I'm just starting my CG journey and was in a bit of a pickle bc the rinse out conditioner that I planned on using as a leave in too is not compatible with my gel. Then I remembered that I had a bottle of this baby 🤔 so I just did the compatibility test and 💡 problem solved! I don't need to buy a new product anymore. This has worked wonders for defining my curls in the past and I feel bad for abandoning it now. I'm sorry if anyone is offended bc I look like I don't belong here but this product works great on my Hispanic hair (mix of 2b, 2c, 3a, and 3b if I'm not mistaken bc my curls have been neglected for a while). Yes, Hawaiian silk was one of my favorite when I had a Perm! That was my wash n go with Jam for my baby hairs🤣 this when I put my hair in a bun/ ponytail. What's crazy I just bought a bottle about a week go to try on my Natural hair 🤔. Love ya! my Sista

I am Hispanic, not African American and I was looking into buying one of those newish 'air dry' styling creams but the ones I can afford both contain solicones which I'm not a fan of, well my bf's mom (also Hispanic) let me use a bottle HS of 14 in 1 miracle. My hair is curly/wavy used to be very thick but has been breakage prone lately and I hate products that weigh it down and end up looking greasy. Let me tell you, this stuff works awesome on my hair! It instantly brought out my natural curls, is not greasy at all, not even on my hands, it also detangles nicely and my hair felt light and fluffy and not sticky even two days later. Idk what it is but my hair likes it and I was afraid of the mineral oil too. If it keeps working the same I will definitely keep using it. ☺

Try the Aussie gel, it’s the BOMB and it’s very affordable. Maybe $2-3 and the Aussie moist conditioner is great.

Funny! I’m revisiting old products myself! Right now I’m using Miss Jessie Leave in condish $10.99 and the Coily custard $13.99. I’m really loving the leave in! It looks suspect at first then surprises you! The leave in reminds me of Paul Mitchell to where it feels solid not watery. The custard is really watery and runny. However together they make a dynamic duo. My hair type is 4a-b and I get great definition. I’m sure with your looser curls you will get great results too.
I love that product and I use it loyally, I definitely want to be a wash and go girl just like what you have cause I am busy I just want to get up and go and be cute tired of everything else got damit
My spirit won't let me have entire line money!! 😂😂 I like the 14-in-1.....never heard of the gel. I've never used it for a wash n go tho. I do use it to define my curls for old wash n gos & for pineapples. ❤️

I purchased this Hawaiian Silky product when I was transitioning years ago and had no idea how to use it.
I remember when I started my natural hair journey (and before we had as many products available as we do now), people used to swear by Hawaiian Silky and S-Curl. I tried both and neither were moisturizing enough for me. But they weren't terrible.
Hey!! Eco styler came out with a new gel. It’s Eco Styler Gold with olive oil, Shea butter, flaxseed and black castor. Might be worth a try, plus I never try a new eco styler gel out until I’ve seen you review it lol but it may be a new fave

When I found out about eco styler gels!!! IT'S THE GOAT(greatest of all time) in my opinion for my hair.

I've been using HS 14-in-1 for over 10 years, still works. The gel is drying so I stopped using that loooong ago, and instead I pair it with ORS olive oil.
Every time I try a new product I'm left sorely disappointed. Shea moisture, devacurl, Cantu, as I am, miss Jessie's, curls creme brule. Garbage.
I am curious about mielle, so I may try that soon, but im not getting my hopes up.

I would looooove to see you try the Shea Moisture Raw Shea Heatless Curl Stretch Gel! It's more of a creamy consistency than a gel consistency, but i heard that it still dries like a gel so i'm interested in seeing what you think. You can probably get it at Sally's, Target, or Ulta. 👀

I believe I've used this before and had that same sticky tacky feeling. Although the 14 in 1 originally for me I used it, In detangling my hair so maybe try using in for wash day prep.

Try the maui moisture products! The hair mask and curl smoothie are super moisturizing! And under $10! I use the agave hair mask as a leave in with my eco styler and i always get a bomb wash and go. I buy mines at Ulta.

Hey girl, try Dark and Lovely AU Natural, just grab a couple products. The are very affordable and won't brake the bank. You and I have similar hair texture and I swear by their product. I know your not a huge fan of curl cream but try it, you might be surprised.

I can’t use eco styler. Even on my freshly washed hair, it leaves a residue no matter what. I do use the Hawaiian Silky which defines my curls and keeps my hair super soft. I wish the ingredients were better.
