      People who do not understand top level rugby do not realise the players (especially the backs) are drilled to run intricate support patterns when attacking so this will be bread and butter to him.

      @@konradyearwood5845 - This is against IMG Academy athletes, a Florida high school focused on prep development.
      The routes are VERY clean for a player just starting to pick up the game. It is still a very poor indicator of the competition he will face.
      There are levels to this:
      1. High school competition
      2. Elite high school competition
      3. College completion
      4. Elite college completion
      5. National Football League
      He's somewhere between 1 and 2 in this video, at best 2.

    imagine this, he was top tier rugby, and nobody was blocking his runs on offence, now people will be blocking for his pathing. Hes used to face palming people, used to hard tackles with no armour and no gloves. hes got his chance, now he has to make the most of the time on the pitch, no excuses.

    • @tonyverras2688

      You're point about blocking is going to be challenging because he is going to have to learn how to read blocks, defenders, and make cuts. Not just learn, but excel at the PROFESSIONAL level. Being fast isn't enough. Plenty of fast ppl have failed miserably in pro football.

Some dumb team will put them on a practice squad for PR though

    • @DPMixing
      @DPMixing Месяц назад +2

      @@24reyeserIt’s because he has short choppy strides and his route breaks are kind of stiff. I think running back would actually be a better position for him than wide receiver. The physicality from playing rugby should translate really well into breaking tackles as a power back. And I think it’s easier to take a handoff and let his natural ball-carrying skills come out compared to developing the elite hands/route-running needed to be an NFL WR. When he catches he still looks like he’s body catching a bit and is not fully extending his arms and attacking the ball which makes his catch radius smaller. Obviously he’s only been practicing a few months and will only get better but I think he could transition faster if he tried a new position. RB or even strong safety if he wanted to play defense seem like a better fit imo.
