You described this life saving feature very clearly with nice “real life examples “ screen shots. Very helpful to know, especially for the everyday iPhone 14 user! Not me though!
Great video. But a question for apple. How does the satellite feature work from inside your car by itself if you are unconscious and not moving the phone to line up with the satellite?
not ground breaking, apple were not first they copied it from huawei, Chinese tech giant Huawei announced on September 6 that its new Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro products are the world’s first consumer smartphones to support Beidou satellite connectivity. Whether users are in remote areas without network signal coverage, such as deserts or the sea, or in need of rescue services, Mate 50 smartphones can send text and location information for requesting help at any time, supporting multiple locations to generate tracking maps.
VERY groundbreaking, because a/ it works, b/ while Huawei make great stuff, it ain't available anywhere outside of China, and can be demonstrated as working with Emergency Services in countries like Australia. So yeah, VERY groundbreaking:)
I’m so happy this is now available in Australia

They beat apple to announcement by 1 day, likely because they had insiders working at apple and knew about the launch.
Well done Apple. Let's hope Android phones catch up.
I think the next 5 years will be the Satellite revolution
