Great shooting with iron sights, thanks for sharing. Hope it all works out for you with the workshop.

As always...great to watch some who can shoot well - very well actually - with a springer. As they say, the more you practice you do, the ''luckier'' you get. Its so true and you are a fine example of this age old saying.
On the other side however, chin up mate and don't let the 'Bar Stewards'' get you down. Have you ever looked at undertaking repair works for the local Gun Shops or installing drop in kits for those less able?
    Keep it up Vin.

That was proper air rifle shooting Vin as we used to know it, I am well into my 83 third year. All the best Mick.

Here's one for you vin, what I do is hold the stock near the end gently not tight not to loose, quite firm in the shoulder the trigger I don't snatch, my thumb on the top not wrapped round like a grip when I breath, on the out breath at the natural pause at the end of the breath out, that is when I pull the trigger nice and smooth and I hold at the end for 3/5 seconds before moving . Most of the time a 30 m I get a 5p grouping then things start to go weird, flyer here flyer there, I'm sure it's me but, would like a demo how you fire from a sitting resting position with a bag , cheers vin 👍🏻👍🏻

    Hi Vin,
Well done with your shooting. It makes me think. If someone owned an older air rifle like yours and shot groups like you just have at 45 metres, you couldn't argue with them if they couldn't see the point of owning a quality pcp at a considerably much higher price point with accuracy like that.
    Thank you, Ian.

great video, thanks for sharing and sorry your day was pants! Wishing you the best and hope that things pick up! Per Ardua !
Thing i struggle with is consistency with my springers and I get a lot of heart beat movement in the scope, perhaps rushing shots. Cheers.

Hi Vince! I like that FWB a lot. It's a great shooting rifle. It's better to buy an older quality rifle like your FWB where you maybe have to replace some parts than buying the modern plastic rubbish. I rather own the old good shooting FWB, Walther, BSA, HW or Diana with scratches on the stock and some surface corrosion. A new spring, piston seal and breech seal won't cost a lot and so much more can't be wrong when you buy an used one. Just be sure that those parts are available but mostly there are. As always, great video my friend 👍

That is a wonderful rifle Vin...I have many airrifles but I have not a single FWB. I would like to lay my hands on FWB 127 Sport...but think nobody wants to part from them😊

Great technique and tips and really impressive shooting. Thanks for taking the time to make this considering the weather ( I don't do well in the heat either). Totally agree about the small guy vs the big guy, the small guys are more like the real hobbyist shooters like I am. I don't like to "buy my game" getting the latest this that or the other, technique, practice and repetition are what makes a good shooter (and a decent gun of course), plus I don't have a lot of spare cash to keep so called upgrading and I do the best with what I have and don't do too badly at all.

There is a very good video on FWB "Barrel Droop! The right-handers seem to make the rifle droop to the left! Instead of going to the time and money of a machine shop; I stripped and cleaned my just purchased 1980 127 .22 (It could be a 124!..When fitting the pivot screw and greasing it; I tightened the pivot in my Lead Protected Record vice! I did not apply a gorrila grip! just about 10 lbs/ft!.Tightening the larger and smaller screw gradualy as I tightened the vice..I,m so happy to say that the barrel droop has gone!...At 77 I have barrel droop too!..I,ll rule out the vice and consult my urologist!....LA5 Warton.

Love your videos Vin but must comment on this one. You can’t dismiss shots in a group because they don’t meet your expectations.
What you just shot was a combination of you, the pellets, the distance and conditions in that moment of time. For me all shots were part of that group, I did not see any flyers. Do it tomorrow and it will be different again. Can’t count expectations mate. Still fantastic shooting and all the best.

Good shootin' Vin, I prefer a "Vee" notch rear sight to a square notch, and I also filed the fore sight blade to as thin as I dare. Would be interesting to hear what you guys think ?

Hi Vin. Tell me, I have a new 99s in 1.77 and i have put on a Wulf Fireball Scope after seeing your reveiw on scopes that you kindly did for me.
Havent put many pellets through it yet but was thinking of having it tuned by someone although i would like to do it myself but havent a clue how to go about it.
Could you perhaps do a quick reveiw on whether tuning is a step forward.
Im 72 now and enjoying my shooting thanks to you and your videos.
Good luck with whatever you do. Im sure everything will work out fine.
    KBest Wishes

Great shooting there Vin, I'd struggle past 20m with my eyes it becomes an educated guess,my mate's picked up a rifle from his dad he says he's adjusted the sights to max but still has to shoot low to be on target I haven't been able to get and have a look yet but I'm guessing some barrel droop possibly? ..hope things work out with work shop space and settle down generally for you ,you'd make a great instructor maybe something you could do self-employed although it would probably add to your already full plate..take care👍👍

My biggest problem is, blinking every time i pull the trigger, it’s a habit I’m finding difficult to break. On the occasions i don’t blink, i watch the pellet hit the bullseye every time then after 3 or so shots of putting all shots into the bull, I’ll blink and it’ll go either high or low. Any advice would be greatly appreciated good sir.

@@FREE_SPIRIT_WANDERER_71 that's an interesting question, so of course I tried it . Are you confusing blinking with flinching because I'm pretty certain every one blinks when squeezing the trigger?
