    I have to say, I did try this method once I thought it would not work, but what I did was first slice the crab shell with scissors, so when you do baste , the butter actually enters the shell and hits the meat, and once that is done, it’s delicious 👍🦀🦀🦀

    Does the baste actually seep through the shell and into the meat of the crab?

      Use kitchen shears and open them. Then you can brush them on the inside. The way he did it, you will not be able to notice at all.

    Did he baste the legs when they were frozen and then they thawed out in the fridge or were they room temp when he basted them?

      @justinvick540 3 года назад

      For more flavor and so they don't stick to the grill.

      I put some butter and garlic on the shell 2 and I inject that shit into the legs also when I bake or grill them ...so delicious

  • @aarroyo2671
    @aarroyo2671 4 года назад +1

    You're better off marinating your crab legs in your desired flavors and then grilling. This is a waste of ingredients.

    First, all King Crab in the US and Canada is steamed and flash frozen. You can get it fresh / live in China and Japan. Second, basting crab without first cutting it open does absolutely nothing. Third, the wine, garlic, and Tabasco in the pan below the burner does NOTHING to the crab. The hood was even up doe crying out loud! This is no chef.
