Look into the Tavistock Institute and 3 letter agencies funding ugly art. It’s a tactic to demoralize the public. It’s definitely intentional, they are not just burning 180 million dollars on this show for fun.
There's no way they are "terrible by design." Even Disney doesn't love wasting that amount of money, nor does it look to court controversy (big business never wants controversy because it's bad for the bottom line). It just seems that creative talent is spread too thin among the any streaming platforms and the biggest among them (Netflix and Disney) can't stop producing dreck like this.

Monte can often and quite frequently be a dick, but when sticking to his guns that these child actors are abysmal, that's when it comes in handy. It looks like diversity was more important than talent.
My friend and I are watching out of curiosity to see how bad it is and we lost it when Mae first tries to attack Torbin, it was way too goofy. The acting and dialogue is so bad especially from the kids, its really just unfortunate for those kids to be in this show.
The classic Hollywood gotcha happened, where people expected this to be bad because it would be "woke" (whatever that means), but it instead ended up being bad because writing was shit. Like The Wheel of Time. Like The Rings of Power.
The Acolyte was specifically put out by Kennedy to push her 'Force is Female" agenda. The writer of this show put her wife in the show in episode 3. And the actress playing the twins, just check out the music video she just did "for the fans." The current audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is at 16%. It will probably get under 10% by the end of episode 8.
much like boba fett and true detective S2, I will wait for some sort of pay off. pray for me that there is one this time because TDS2 and boba fett are awful.
I can’t help but feel a podcast about episodes 1-3 would be more successful if it was released sooner than…. Two weeks after episodes 1-3? I don’t watch the shows, I just listen, so I don’t personally care. But most people watching the episodes probably want to hear it discussed closer to when they actually watched it.
Episodes 1-3 were so bad it warranted a slam like this. Like, maybe Mae's psychopathy will be explained by the dark magic the witches used to conceive her or something, but that would in no way explain why Osha would be in any way sympathetic to Mae. Too many fundamental flaws in this. I'm also not a Star Wars nerd, so I probably didn't even notice things that bothered many other watchers.
Disney Star Wars is Gay Space Marvel. It lacks none of the grounding, humanity and archetypal lessons of the Lucas works. Everyone's a poorly written superhero with flavor of the month modern politics shoved in. It is our duty to give every single piece of Star Wars media 1/10 stars until they fundamentally change their whole approach.
The completely reasonable fear I felt when I saw they green lit the KOTOR show is something i never expected to have 10 or 15 years ago when thinking about star wars. This franchise felt secure not because of the films but because all the rest of media around it, nowadays with Disney's hands all over it and no reasonable person in Lucasfilm im not sure if the games are that safe anymore.
talking about KOTOR and the twist made me curious if you had considered doing some reviews like this for game stories. Not for current stuff but old classics younger viewers may be unaware of like KOTOR and Chrono Trigger
