Traveling in Paris we’ve had both good and bad luck with taxis. Traveling together we were quoted a particular price which was fair but a street blocked off caused a 10 minute deviation so the taxi driver stopped the meter when we hit the quoted price, apologized when we got to our destination late and twice refused a tip. The other time my wife got charged double for an airport taxi when traveling alone because she was unaware of the fixed prices (she was not supposed to stop in Paris originally but there was a flight cancellation).

The bracelet scam happened to me at Sacre Coeur, but I just yelled at the guy and he backed off. I was already in a bad mood since I got my stuff stolen a couple of days earlier in Barcelona.

I was a victim of the bracelet scam in Italy - unfortunately it happened in the middle of a cruise excursion tour, so at least the other people on the tour learned from my mistake.😂

I thought it was the law that all official tacos had to have a working card machine.
Lol oh tuk tuks. They're scams in NYC too! But I do enjoy the music as it passes me by 😂
