Just found this series, and it's great!
When discussing Rebirth, you comment around 5:25 about "a character who is dead in some way" and that immediately made me think of James Scott Bell's discussion of three types of death in his book Write Your Novel from the Middle.
As a writer, I think I gravitate to rebirth stories, so I'm really looking forward to that discussion when you have time to finish the series

Astonishingly few views. For a sense of how powerful this is, it may not directly help you but try using it when understanding your friend's story that you want to improve and that's when you'll really see the insane power (or when coming up with a new story/ revising your own). Right now I'm playing with the Indian dragon Vritra as some kind of dragon of finance / hierarchy / general Malthusianomics and sabbath-rest as a prop-trader firm specializing in all kinds of magic.

Head = 1st Officer Spock; Gut = Dr. McCoy; Heart = Captain Kirk (often mediates and combines the knowledge from the other two to find the solution).
