യാത്രകൾ അവസാനിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്ന് വീണ്ടും ബോധ്യപ്പെട്ടു. വയനാട്ടിൽ നിന്നും തിരിച്ചു വരുന്നവഴി, ടിപ്പുസുൽത്താൻ കേറി വഴിമുടക്കി. മൂപ്പരെ ഒരു ഒളിത്താവളം കല്പറ്റക്കടുത്തായി ഉള്ളതായി ഒരു കരക്കബി കേട്ടു. കുറച്ചൊന്നു ചുറ്റിതിരിഞ്ഞാലും അവസാനം ഞങ്ങളത് കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചു. കാട്ടിനുള്ളിൽ ഒരു വലിയ പാറതുരന്നു പണിത ടിപ്പുവിന്റെ കിടിലൻ ഒളിത്താവളം! ഇതുപോലൊന്നു വേറെ നമ്മുടെ നാട്ടിൽ കിട്ടില്ല. ഒരു ഒളിത്താവളത്തിന് പറ്റിയ പാകത്തിന് പണിതൊരുക്കിയ അപൂർവ നിർമ്മിതി. സാധാരണ ഒരു വയനാടൻ യാത്രക്കിടയിൽ ആരും കണ്ടെത്താൻ സാധ്യതയില്ലാത്ത ഒളിത്താവളം. കാലപ്പഴക്കത്തെ അതിജീവിച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്നു.
It was convinced again that the journeys were not over. On the way back from Wayanad, Tipu Sultan's old hideout twisted our journey a little bit. To locate it we wandered around a bit but finally found the rock cut hiding place. This construction shall be done by Tippu Sulthan, it is a huge hideout built on a large rock in the jungle, surviving aging. A rare structure built very much suitable for a hiding place. The perfect hideout that no one is likely to find during a typical Wayanad trip.
