I literally can not tell you how grateful I am that you took the time to show and teach us everything you have in this series. I have been crocheting for nearly 20 years and always thought this was too complicated to attempt. I cant thank you enough for explaining this as well as you have.
I am so thankful for these videos. It means a lot to have someone show me something so clearly and helpfully. You are amazing. Thanks for sharing your hard work and experience so people like me can feel joy in life making things. ❤️
Thank you ever ever so much. I cannot express how much I appreciate all your hard work. You have explained this so beautifully and clearly. I can now graphghan crochet, finally. Bless you, you are amazing.
I'm SO glad I stumbled across your videos. I'm attempting to make a Cuddle & Play Blanket for my 1st grand baby. I was a bit confused with the instructions as I've never done a Graphagan before. Needless to say I'm a bit intimidated by the instructions. However watching your video series & how simply & easily you instructed each step, I'm feeling a bit more confident in my abilities. Your voice is so calming. Thank you so much! 🙏🏽💜
I have been teaching myself to crochet for a few years. This video is amazing. Not only did I learn to make graphgans, but I learned new tricks to add to regular crochet projects that I never knew before. Thank you!
Thanks so much! This is the best video I have found. I was trying to do a "simple" lol pattern and it wasn't so "simple". You have helped me to understand. Thanks again!
I've just watched all 4 parts and I love it! You explain everything so well and make it actually seem possible to get started. Thank you so much. Bless you x
Thank you for this toturial I've wanted to learn this method but was totally lost, now thanks to you I will something, I'll start with a small wallhanging. Thank you again ❤
You are so welcome Rebekah. When I first started making graphghans, my search left me still wanting to know more. I was so confused, so I decided to create a video that would be simple and easy for all to understand. Glad to see it's working.
I thought I was going to end up intimidated away from graphgans, but you made it so simple! And cardboard bobbins instead of purchasing? Yes, I can do that!! ❤ Update: I just found the video about the straws and dish drain! 😮
Finally I have found a Tutorial on using Graphs that is easy to follow! You have no idea how grateful I am right now! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!❤️💙💚❤️💙💚🙂
Aaawwhhh...you are so welcome. I'm glad you found me too. I love making graphghans and I want to make them the easy way. I'm glad my video was helpful for you.

Absolutely enjoyed watching your tutorial. I thought it would be extremely hard, however with your great detailed and clear explanation, I feel confident I can do this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 😊
OMGosh!!! Thank you so much for these videos. I’ve been crocheting for over 30 years and just decided to do a graphghan . It’s kicking my behind. Lol. You have just made it so much easier for me. Thank you . I am glad I subscribed. 🥰
Oh my goodness - I have been dying to try graphigan…graphgans? And couldn’t make it make sense. This tutorial is AWESOME! Can’t wait to find a graph and make my first!
Hi Niler, Thanks for this tutorial series. I have done tapestry crochet before but it carries the yarn under the stitches and usually is 2 colors. I want to try this graphghan technique. I appreciate you for sharing this with us. Have a great week.
And there you showed me something that seemed so difficult, and it is quite easy. You explained beautifully and I really appreciate your kindness in sharing this. Thank you xx
Thank you for teaching this graph crochet you know how to explain it very clearly I think I can try it I do graph crochet but it comes out to be a pillow or and hand bag but I wanted to learn it like this so I can make a blanket thank u again 😊
I just watch all your videos on graphgans. I've never attempted it before. You have given me faith lol that I can do it. You're good at teaching and your hands and voice are easy on the eyes and ears..lol I couldn't handle one old lady's fingernail in her video. Kinda creepy and very distracting. I saved and shared your videos. Thank you!
LOL Judy! I'm so happy that my "hands" past the visual test! LOL. I'm happy that my video was helpful for you and thank you so much for watching my videos...Happy Crocheting!
I loved your explanations of how to bring an existing color up to a new row. I’m new to graphghans and this has resolved one of my question so I wouldn’t have an ugly back to my graphghan. Thank you...
You are so welcome Cheryl. I know what you mean. I wanted pretty on both sides and now that I know how to do that, making graphghans is much more enjoyable. Thanks for watching and for the nice comment.
These videos are so helpful and easier to understand then other vids I've seen!! Thank you so much for doing these!! Very much appreciated!! I'm working on my 1st graghghan and your videos have helped me immensely ❤️ Bless you!!
Thank you so much for doing these videos! I'm finally getting back into crochet and have never had a clue how to change colors mid row without carrying the thread through the entire row of the other colors!
Thanks so much for this tutorial series! I have been crocheting for almost 50 years - but - I struggle with the correct way to do graphghans! Now I know! I also loved how you broke the videos into pieces - made it much easier to move through each section.
@Niler Taylor, thank you so much for showing me how to make a graphghan changing bobbins. I was looking for the love button, great tutorial. I hope you do more like this one.
This was a great beginning to end tutorial. I have a new appreciation for all of you that do these!!! It does take some organization and patience. I have been crocheting for over 30 years but not ready to do one of these yet. lol I am glad I found your channel I love your training and look forward to more of your videos! Thanks so much!
Aaawwhhh, you are so welcome Sue and thank you so much for the nice comment. I love making graphghans and the more difficult the better. I love all the detail. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for taking the time to make and upload this series! You have such a pleasant voice to listen to, and you’re so clear and descriptive in your instructions. I’ve always been incredibly intimidated by graphgans but after watching your videos, I’m excited to try it! Also, the panda one you made is gorgeous. After looking through your channel, I can’t wait to see what else you come up with!
My goodness thank you. I watched other videos and I just was not understanding the extra loop that was making my color change messy. This helped alot. Great slow instructions with bright colors so we can see what is happening. N the word chat was great. Excellent
I love your work Niler. I will try this. I learned basic crochet but didn't understand how to add other colors. Your directions are so clear. Thank you.
Aaawwhh...thanks for the nice comment. I'm so glad that my video was helpful for you. I've watched many videos and found that the directions are not always clear so I strive to make my videos so that everything is clear and understandable. I'm happy to see that it is working. Thanks for watching and for the nice comment....Happy Crocheting!
Wish I had found your tutorial before I started my graphgan, but I'm over half way on a 200 row one so I'm not ripping it out but the rest of it will certainly go easier. Thank you so much for explaining it so clearly.
Thank you so much for this fantastic video series! I have wanted to try the graphgans for a while but was intimidated. I had watched another graphgan tutorial before seeing yours but needless to say it left me with more questions than answers. Your video was clear and concise. I believe I can start my own project now with confidence. Thank you so much :)
Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. I tried graphgan last christmas and was in a right mess, my yarn tangled and i didnt use bobbins. Total nightmare and i was put off. I will definitely try again but using bobbins this time ❤
Thank you! i now understand the bobbins and the need for them! brand new to graphs, and i just took out the 5 rows i did, because i was getting frustrated, i will know try it again with confidence!
On my, you have the patience of a saint, dealing with all those bobbins and all those ends at the same time! How do you keep them from getting tangled up? Is this basically what you would do also to do a picture or a name on a baby afghan? I've wanted to do this for years! Thank you!!
Yes. This is the same concept as for a picture or name. As far as keeping the bobbins straight, at the end of each row, I realign each of the bobbins before I start my next row. Thanks so much for your question and for watching my videos...Happy Crocheting!
Thank you for the instructions! You made it very easy to understand and follow. 💕 I’m trying to make a graph of a black cat, not my pattern but looks like my cat, Beauty! Wish me luck. 🙃. Subscribing! 💕
Thank you for this great video! It helped me understand how to crochet a design for a blanket. I saw how you finished off the green by sewing it into the same color but video didn’t show how you do it for the colors in the center of the pattern...where do you tie it off?
Hi I’m Hugette that’s a beautiful tutorial , I want to make a graphghan and want to make sure i learn the technique of how to carry or how to place the yarn as I go
Good morning Ms. Taylor, how did you get your count of 30 X 30 or 60 by 60. I love 💕 your teaching and sharing your wonderful beautiful projects. Thanks 🙏🏾 so much for your teaching and sharing.
Hi Carolyn, thanks for your question. The size that you choose will be determined by the size of your crochet hook and by the size of the way you crochet...whether you crochet tight or loose. My suggestion is to crochet a single crochet block so as to determine how big (length and width) that YOU personally crochet and this will become a gauge for you to determine how wide and how long your project will be. I hope this helps..Happy Crocheting!
I am having the worst time with the bobbin flipping. So the bobbins go on top and you flip them down where you’re done with that color and then turn the work?
Thanks Christy for you question. when I complete a stitch with a color and need to join a new color, I do bring the old color toward me. Once I turn my work, now, all the bobbins will be on the back side of the work and as you use each bobbin, you will bring that bobbin to front. I hope this helps, let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Love your videos. You are so clear in your explanation. I was watching to see if you were doing a YO or YU. I am trying to get the nice "square" stitch so they line up one above the other. I think you are doing the YU, is this correct?
I love your color changes but my color changes are coming out zig zagging.i drop my colors to the back.i have problems when it is a stitch 1 or 2 after.
I love this video tutorial series. I have been trying to learn graphgans. I understand the bobbins but may I ask why you have two bobbins of the same color attached at the same time?Wouldn't it be easier to have just one of each color attached at a time? This may be a dumb question and I am sorry. Just trying to understand.
Your question is not a dumb one Pamela. Yes, I could use one bobbin, but you would have to keep carrying it over the color in between the two colors and that would make it look bulky, just my opinion . I like a smooth look. Hope this answers your question. Happy Crocheting!
You probably won’t see this, but I’m new at crocheting and making a scarf for my younger brother for his birthday. I’m really thankful for this video because I’m putting a video game logo on it! ❤ If you do see this. Would I need two separate bits of yarn for an “A” like the two lines diagonally going down. Or would it work with just one color as the “A” and then the background color?
Hello, you are so wrong, it takes me a while to answer all of my comments, but I DO SEE THEM! To answer your question, you will need separate bits of yarn because of the color that is in between the A, you will have to have another yarn bobbin where the yarn turns into another color. So, where the A begins, there will be one color, next, there will be the background color, and then you will need another yarn bobbin for the other side of the A. I hope this make sense and I hope I explained it clearly. Message me with questions please. Happy Crocheting!
@@NilerTaylor-relindesigns Thanks! Even though I did end up crocheting a different logo because I couldn’t make the diagonal go straight down, this will definitely help for future projects 🙏😊
"And that's how easy it is to do a graphgan" Here i am feeling like I looked at a magic show xD although If I hold this video next to whatever I would make, i feel confident I might understand :D

You can create a graph in a spread sheet or purchase graph paper, scan or download your picture and print it out onto the graph paper that will help you with counting squares.

Hello, you are so wrong, it takes me a while to answer all of my comments, but I DO SEE THEM! I hope this make sense and I hope I explained it clearly. Message me with questions please. Happy Crocheting!

Thanks! Even though I did end up crocheting a different logo because I couldn’t make the diagonal go straight down, this will definitely help for future projects 🙏😊
if you were doing double crochet would the 2 chains increase at the end of each row or stay the same?
I've never done a double crochet graphghan, however, with corner to corner graphghans, which use double crochet, the chain goes to 3.
I love your video.no matter which side I am working on, do I always drop the old color to the back?
That's what I do.
Thank you

My only problem is turning the picture I want to do into a graph, I’m not a good artist like you
You can create a graph in a spread sheet or purchase graph paper, scan or download your picture and print it out onto the graph paper that will help you with counting squares.
