So many similarities to some of the Caribbean nations. I used to live in the Caribbean . Love to watch your videos- Makes me homesick! I now have married a PA guy who has no clue! :-)
I've never been out of the US, so it was interesting to get a glimpse of life in another country. Day by Day is one of my favorite songs--it was lovely to hear it in Spanish.

Born and raised there but moved away in my early twenties.
All the sights and sounds were so familiar...spent a week in Belize last July and absolutely fell in love with it. Fresh pineapple, fresh limes, tacos, all the good things.

I have been to Belize once, 10 years ago in April. We went with one of our friends and we had both never been there, didn't know anyone there and knew nothing about Belize but we enjoyed our time there, we did lots of traveling around, and yes the food there is very good, we didn't eat rice and beans( not my kind of food) , we just ate in restaurants and it was soo good.

Born in Belize and lived there till I was nine. I still have lots of family in Spanish Lookout. Oh, I agree, those Orange Walk tacos are AMAZING! It's been 3 years since I was in Belize last and I'm definitely really missing the food. I have such good memories of riding in the back of a pickup truck, feeling the wind in my face and messy hair. Would love to experience that again. Thanks for sharing.

Was born in Belize but moved to Canada when I was 2. Been back many times though and yes the food there is so so good. It has so much more flavour. Watching this video makes me want to go visit again.

Ok you just made me soo homesick 😔 so I grew up in Guatema, and obviously the foods n cultures are similar. And I have been to visit Belize a few times, because we had family living there for a number of years.
I enjoy your videos! I have not been to Belize just know some friends there. I was born in Mexico(live in Canada now)and go back to visit our family sometimes. I choked up when you said it was your last day there. I hate the feeling of leaving!

Hello. I've been in Belize once, my sister in law and her husband live there in Spanish lookout.
Love the video-cation. Appreciate your taking us along with you. The food is so interesting. do you make these dishes in the US or just enjoy them when visiting? The fabric store looked big. So, is dairy eaten locally or is it strictly a subgroup preference. I noticed Belize has Kriol, Spanish speaking immigrants from local countries who moved in in the 1980s, and of course a variety of other populations. No worries on the not talking. It felt more like we were just hanging out with you all...

That’s so beautiful… how do you leave a place like that? It used to just tear at the heartstrings when we’d leave my parents place… now I have 2 daughters who don’t live where I do but time together is sweet. The food looks amazing I hope we can go to Belize sometime.

We had many visits to Belize when my husband was on mission board.... The papusas fresh at the market, recado chicken, and alllll the fabulous food, man! We loved that. I was surprised when u said no humidity tho, wheeee we always experienced lots of that when we visited. I think we were in Caro (cyro?) district. And let's not forget to talk about the glass bottled Coke... Mmmmmmwaaa

We were in Belize at the same time but we went southern Belize this time as well as Ambergris Caye. Someday we will go back to Orange Walk! I didn’t want to go home after 3 weeks!

They went in 1991 for one year as missionaries. Ended up loving it and staying!

Yeah, we see them sometimes. Attacks are rare in that area though, so we swim away. 😊
