Album: The Guardian Legend - Resonance of Naju
Origin: [NES] The Guardian Legend - Passage (Completed Corridor), Blue Lander, Password Screen, Computer Room
Original Composer: Masatomo Miyamoto, Takeshi Santo
This is a remix of 4 fairly short loops from the game. The duration of these loops are: Passage (15 seconds), Blue Lander (9 seconds), Password Screen (13 seconds), and Computer Room (27 seconds).
I struggled to do anything with the songs the first few days I worked on them. I had the idea for the theme to be music that Miria would be listening to while flying towards Naju and I wanted it to be relaxing. Something interesting to note is that the Western releases of the game never mentions the protagonist's name while the Japanese manual of the game says that her full name is "Strongest Warrior System D.P., pet name Miria".
I ended up messing around with some original melodies and eventually created the 12 minute and 50 second monstrosity. It's funny that one of the remixes I had the most trouble working with turned out to be one of the longest and most original remix in the album. I really liked how it turned out and it's one of the remixes I keep going back to listen to.
Beautifully crafted 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
This game was one of my absolute favorites on the NES. The graphics are better then almost every other game. It looked 16bit sometimes. The gameplay was fun as hell. The puzzles were nothing short of Zelda in space. The high octane flight battles are amazing. One of the best
The game itself is completely underrated, and as such, so is this video. Both deserve a lot more praise. This is brilliant!
5:48 Thank you for getting the first note right in the Melody line! Every other remix of the password music has the first note an octave too high. This is my favorite tune in the game.
Pretty... I'm really feeling the vibe of the remix. The beginning was my favorite theme "Empty Corridor".
They say the fan base is too small. I`m not sure about that. They said there was a problem with copyrights between Irem and Compile... I really don´t know, but is a real shame. Miria could have been more than Samus.
If someone is FEELING this, I must have failed.
The amount I listened to this song after my mom passed
I dont understand at all why this game hasnt been converted into a franchise. I mean imagine this game made using today's technology....
Fan following's too small.
It's called Nier: Automata
Yep, it was, and kind of still is my dream to bring this game into the 21st century. But yes, getting a project that large "off the ground" is difficult, and the fan base is truly too small. I looked up Nier: Automata -- it has a good engine -- with a few tweaks, it might work with a 21st century TGL.

@@oscarlobaton979 I've seen those concepts -- all good, they just need me for the creative consultant and "screenplay" writer :) My concept "borrows" from many existing genres, but then again, who is original now a days. In my concept, the aliens launch Naju at earth because there is a human who unlocks knowledge that threatens them. That human, in turn, heads off to face them...alone...to atone for his mistakes. He leaves behind the unfinished "Guardian" suit to find someone who can serve as backup if he fails. Spoiler alert...he fails...but he is now the "unknown source" behind the messages and items in the game. Does he live? Hey, I'm done with spoilers...if the game is made, all will be reviled. :) Yea, I know it borrows from Green Lantern..and if I went into more detail, many other copyrighted works. It'll be a fun trip if i can get it off the ground. That facebook page said their concepts were 4 years old...that doesn't shock me, these wheels turn slowly.
Unexplainably good!
Simply awesome!!! Better then the one I did
l like this and the original sound for the password them i love the thud sound very aggressive sound
Overall, this sounds great. The idea to turn TGL suite into a medley was something I also considered, and I really did enjoy how you did most of it. Much like I imagined it should be. Sure I could imagine some sections with a few minor tweaks, but I find things like that even in supposedly professional works. I have to say I don't find much of that here.
I feel like some of these parts would make a really nice whole song, independent from the medley.
you have enough material to do a two volume album, if you can fill your tracks out to 5 minutes+ each, without recycling samples, I think you could make a real masterpiece.
But maybe I am just partial because TGL is a game I still cherish all this time later. Regardless you have something here, but as I see it you are not even half done yet. and near the end you reverted to the sample tracks.
I hope to one day here this as an album, I know you will do it justice, @TANgyStudios
buenisimo¡¡¡¡
Needs electric guitar and an electric guitar solo to bring the song to a new level. Did you play all Game's Corridors? The Guardian Legend is a classic combining Galaga, Zelda, and a Faxanadu in a sci-fi setting with a female Poker Ace Heroine. So, yeah, go add some electri guitars and a solo in its remix honor.
