I want to mention there’s a lot of issue with CarPlay connection. Sometimes certified cables from Apple doesn’t work reliably. I recommend keep changing different cables until you find one that maintains connection. We found an Amazon cable works fine.. for now.
Please, if you actually find a wireless CarPlay adapter that WORKS with the MG4 id love to know. Ive tried 3 different models and had to send them all back as they were all useless - even a more expensive one simply wasnt reliable enough to be used. It seems a specific issue with the MG4 software (no surprise there!) - but wireless adapters can work far more reliably in other wired CarPlay cars - just not the MG4.
@@JerryPanandCars You are right - I really hope that MG fix a lot of the outstanding issues (over a year now!) that plague the infotainment system. Hopefully they will implement the Over-The-Air update system to allow more frequent and convenient updates. Right now though, I dont think that any wireless CarPlay adapters will work sufficiently well enough to be used.
I picked up my long range MG4 last week and today plugged in a PL6_Pro 2-in-1 Smart Car Box wireless adapter and so far it seems to be working just fine. I had to first disconnect the car Bluetooth connection on my iPhone to make the initial connection to the adapter, but after that both car and wireless adapter are connecting and I’m getting wireless CarPlay. Time will tell how stable it will be, but it all seems to work.
Great video, but I still can’t bind the vehicle, brand new mg4 essence, the QR code is too small my phone a brand new 1phone 15 plus pro, cannot scan the code, it’s just not big enough to fill the screen. What can I do?
Is it charging? if it is charging, that means there is something wrong with the phone setting. If it is not charging, there is something wrong with your phone charge port or cable.

I don’t have any issues with car play on mg4 2023 version
@georgioschristopoulos3303 neither do I. Never had any problem with Apple genuine Cable.
Hi love the videos. Really excellent. Just wondering will you be doing one with Android Auto?
Thanks for the comment. Yes, the Android Auto tutorial will be live next week.
@@JerryPanandCars excellent. I've watched all your MG4 videos and they've been really good. Very informative. 👍

I think it is to do with MG4’s system sadly.

@@lbd-po7cl works with MG4? can't find any reference to PL6 pro.... what is is and where did it come from?

I'm sure that will bind. The phone camera can pick up the small QR code. It doesn't have to go really close.
I have the original wire for USB A and it still doesn't work.

I have iPhone 15 - so there can be used either USB-A to USB-C or USB-C to USB-C. Does anyone has any experience with cable that works for this device?
You will need USB-A to USB-C. Make sure they are MFi or genuine cable.
hi. why my display didn’t show full screen of apple carplay? it still shows the AC bar on the top 😢
It’s the newer software
@@JerryPanandCars i see. thank you 🙏🏻
can’t we use type c port instead of type a port?
@@yloibx not on this car
I cannot even charge my phone at that port. then what type c in the car stands for?
@@yloibx why not talk to your dealer to check the port connectivity?
Its quite stupied, there is a wireless charger, but to use android auto you have to use cable. because that make wireless charge has no point .
Where is the wireless charger?
