In Prague, this is only the first phase of construction in this area, there will be a branch line from this line towards the main railway station. Which will be parallel to the line in Jindřišská, in order to improve the service to the station and avoid traffic collapses on the existing line.

Honestly i hope Vancouver gets new trolleybuses from Solaris, they were testing them last year. Seeing that most buses are New Flyer, having European bus would be really cool, sleek and modern.
Just like how in the Viva Bus in York Region outside Toronto runs Van Hool buses along side the Canadian buses.

    Great as usual!
3:11 the most usual way to say it in Spain is "caf", but since the name is made with initials it is not incorrect to say "C.A.F." separetaly :)
PD: for anyone curious, the initials are "Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarril", which translated means "Constructions and Assistant [services] for Railways", which is a hilariously average name for a company xd

Yeah, my city used to have a single trolly bus line up until the 90's but they scraped it with the promise to replace it with an extra tramline. We're still waiting for the new tramline.

I think there is reason for concern in Tallinn, half of the trolleybus network has closed in the last 10 years. The city government somehow managed to convince the media that hybrid buses are more eco-friendly than trolleybuses. There were plans to completely stop using trolleybuses, though these plans have now been cancelled.

I think it would also be worth mentioning that the line to Konstantynów Łódzki (in Łódź, Poland) used to extend all the way to Lutomiersk (some 20 km from Łodź!) but the municipality is having trouble securing money for the reconstruction.
It also used to run all the way to the city center, but due to the construction of the city center tunnel with a station on Zielona street (and also the condition of track on Legionów street), it is severly shortened.
The history of Łódź suburban trams is very interesting in general. There used to be 5 lines connecting 8+ towns, of which 3 lines remain operational, and two of them are pending reconstruction of their extensions.
(if you want to make a video about it or put it in one, ask away! although, while very interesting, I guess it isn't very relevant in the scale of world transport news)

Hey, I'm a bit late maybe for this weeks' episode, but I've got news for you from Barcelona! A new nautical bus has just started operation.
It connects the Barceloneta neighbourhood with Les Rambles in a 10 minutes journey, with frequencies between 15 and 30 minutes. This a massive improvement over the current 25 minutes by (very congested) bus.
The service is offered by the bus company Alsa with 2 ships. Nowadays it costs 1,90€ every journey, 2,80€ a return trip (if I'm not wrong), and there are also monthly passes. Depending on the reception of the service (I think that they'll probably look if mostly tourists or locals use it) it'll be integrated in the public transit fares in the future. The first week is being a huge success, let's see if it continues to be.

Trolly buses don’t actually wear out they break by that I mean because they use electric motors they work until they don’t. So the motors all break down around the same time. The trick is to replace before the whole fleet becomes unusable or too expensive to repair

It´s not exactly an extension but finally finishing the construction of the planned line.
Lines 9 and 10 start in the northern part, line 9 in the city of Santa Coloma de Gramenet and L10 in the city of Badalona. They merge to the same route in Bon Pastor and continue together in the upper western section of the city where the metro the current metro has less service. and will create a king of half circular line connecting to all other lines. On the other side L9 ends at the airport and L10 in the port area of Zona Franca/ZAL.(Zonas de actividad Logística - the logistic zone of the port).
It was suppose to open in 2008 but they encountered quite a few problems and delay which pushed the date to 2014 and than came the big world economic and they had to stop the work due to lack of funding. with time they prolonged the northern section by finishing a few stations, that were almost ready, and later focused on the southern section and the connection to the airport. Now they finely continuing work on the middle section and should open it in 2027, with a few station that will open by 2030.
There is an important extension underway of the L8 line, the first section of the connection between the two tram systems is finished and will start to work toward the end of the year (there is uncertainty about the second phase that will complete the connection) and L4 is being extended to reach the new under construction main train station La Sagrera, and extensions of L1, L2 and L3 are in approval stages.

I'm offended that you doubt my knowledge 😁
I'll say it again, it is CAF (pronounced as a work KAF).
As I've explained, in Spanish (and other languages) when an initialism is read as a word when possible. BMW is just a set of letters that cannot be read as a word but CAF can.
If you look at the same sector Renfe started as the first letters of Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles but was always pronounced as a word, which is why in 2005 they made it the official name of the company (not as an an initialism of Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles) and with the other Spanish train manufacturer Talgo (which stands for Tren Articulado Ligero Goicoechea Oriol).
As someone from Spain, and since local youtubers. reporters and the company itself (you can look at their RUclips page and see how they say it) this is how you say it - CAF (KAF)
