I always use a paper or card gasket to produce a slot under the cap. It's a easier and safer than ballancing a router on top of an unfinished pipe. Very good video and usefull too, thankyou very much for posting it. :)
Why the Polyurethane inside? Beautiful fast work!!! We are learning wooden pipe production in the Oscar Walcker Schule in Ludwigsburg Germany. Your vids are very helpful!!!!!

@@raphig I wondered if it was done for tonal reasons, making the walls more reflective...
@@raphig What would be the "period" alternative to poly urethane? Some kind of natural resin?
@tempetiger It's supposed to be a principle pipe but it ended up sounding more like a flute. It's open ended.
@Zumipali2 The spray is polyurethane, not glue.
Ah I do need that buttom outter piece..
And what was the routering part?
Not sure what you did with it?
Ack more work to do then!
What type of organ pipe are you making in this video? Looks like a flute type pipe. Does it have a tuning stopper, or is it an open ended flute?
@Zumipali2 Yes, it's a finish.
nice!
Love his 5,000 cfm vent! Hate to be his neighbor!!
Cool no safety guard no the saw blade...
Wonderful ! But it's cheating a bit ... you have a $50,000 workshop!
