    Great video, both my lights went out at the same time. The autoshop wanted $150 to diagnose the issue. I followed your steps and just needed a $3 fuse replaced for my problem. Thank you so much for helping me save some cash!

      Glad we could save you that money, that is outrageous that they quoted you $150.00 just for diagnosis! Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you, we are here to help! Have a great day!

    one hid headlight out here a week ago (ram 1500), ended up being corrosion in the plug between canbus and ballast. Using Dielectric grease next time...

    I had purchased a used 2011 JKU and both lights went out on the highway at 330am. It was terrifying to be honest. My hazards helped light my way to my destination but I was really mad at the time. The used dealer fixed it a year ago, but now the drivers side headlight goes out. I jiggle the ballast or igniter and it comes back on. If it’s a bad connection is that possible? Also, let’s say I want to replace everything. Do you have a good option I can go with that’s reliable? Thanks! I’m so frustrated at this point.

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  Год назад +1

      Jiggling a connection and having the lights turn back on is a good indicator that one of your connectors is not making full contact, which is why it works after you mess with it. Reach out to us and we can help you find an HID kit that fits your budget and needs.

    Just got my HIDs hooked up on my 15 GC and test everything before I reinstalled the bumper. Everything worked perfect I go to start the vehicle and no they won’t work or flash on and off. No check engines and purchased the anti flicker as well. Idk if it’s a computer issues or what. Any ideas? Thanks!

    I just bought Halo Halogen Assembly Lights from eBay for my Chrysler 300. I got them installed & both the Headlights & Halo Lights Work. The Problem is, My Halos keep Shutting off while I'm Driving & they won't stay on no matter if I have the Lights on Auto or Directly on, but my headlights work perfectly fine. Do you know what the Problem may be?

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  4 года назад +1

      Some kits may have a headlight shutoff wired into the Halo driver, and that is basically to shut the halo down when the headlights are turned on. This is more of a safety thing for RGB products, and I am not sure if that is what you have going on with those headlights but that would be a good thing to check with the manufacturer on! Let us know if there is anything else we can do for you here!

    Thanks, I have a 2007 Chevy Malibu and appears all the lights work, hi-beam, brake lights, the small hazard lights just the low beams don’t work. And each of them has its own fuse which I checked and they’re fine so it’s dark now but you think knowing the above information I should look for a relay?… Thanks

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  3 года назад

      I would move any parts side to side and then check the relay if that doesn't work!

    • @TheHmurveit
      @TheHmurveit 3 года назад

      @@RetrofitSource I switched the high beam relay with the low beam relay and the low beams did not come on. I did try to move around wires there's not that many and the steering column switch I moved around and played with that. I bought two headlights and it doesn't seem that hard to install but of all the old ratchet sets I have I'm missing the one that wouldn't fit

    So I bought my morimoto from eBay .. everything is wired correctly but one side doesn’t wanna turn on and then sometimes both sides don’t wanna turn on. What could the problem be? My seller said maybe the relay harness? I have an HD relay harness. Keep in mind One time when only one light turned on I switched the ballast and the igniters to the opposite side but the problem didn’t follow

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  5 лет назад

      Those are knockoff morimotos. Only buy from trusted retailers on their and our website.

    Both lights going out at the same time isn't as unlikely as you'd think, any power surge from the alternator will blow them both immediately

    • @RetrofitSource
      @RetrofitSource  2 года назад +1

      A power surge from the alt that would fry both lights is even less likely to happen than both of them going out at the same time in the first place.
