- Wuthering Waves has been BLOWING UP Recently, and it seems like this has made it all the way to Hoyoverse and the developers of Genshin Impact... In this video I discuss some recent posts in the community which suggests that staff of Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail are playing Wuthering Waves in Their Offices and explain why this has happened and also how this is actually a great thing for Kuro Games and Wuthering Waves. I also talk about Hoyocreators and their silence on playing WuWa and how they are doing now and whether they are playing the game...

I found an issue with out of bounds. Once you go out of bounds mainly out of the red line, then you cannot come back to the main area manually since the game thinks the red line is out of bounds no matter which side you move to. The only option is to Teleport. So just saying, avoid OOB red lines for now

i played a tone of both honkai and genshin, and legit im actually enjoying WW better then both of them, skip button , catch monsters, mobility great etc
I enjoyed Genshin, but after three years I've really come to realize that I've grown it and WW has scratched all the gripes I've had with Hoyo.

I don’t know about tweets…. But dish has some shorts about WuWa. And some English VA’s from hoyoverse games are playing it….
So this whole war between both games seems more fandom base more than anything… which is silly in my opinion.
These types of games take a month or month and a half to update so having more good gatcha games of these types is technically a good thing for the player base…
Note: not saying to spend everything on a gatcha… you can enjoy the game while staying F2P or if your going to spend, have a set budget and not go over that…

I love both and I shit on both.
Yes Genshin Impact story is very boring and way too sanitized. Yes Wuwa new intro scene has been Genshified. Wuwa UI/UX sucks, Wuwa doesn't have invert Y-camera for controller, Genshin is very stingy with rewards, Wuwa english translation is ass, Genshin's character shading is ass, Genshin doesn't have any decent end-game, Genshin combat is not as good as Wuwa, Wuwa overall polish is not as good as Genshin's. Genshin's world traversal sucks ass, while Wuwa has infinite stamina out of combat plus wall sprinting. I could go all day long speaking of what's good and what's bad between these 2; I love both and play both, and I hope that Wuwa succeeds and that both games get better as a result of their competition.
um ww intro has not been "genshified" lol if you play through the whole story you would understand why it starts the way it does. also i disagree about the ui being bad as most companies simply use what people are either familiar with or is easy to read and navigate. kuro addressed the english va situation and its not the translation thats bad its the voice direction which kuro said they will be changing going forward allowing vas to be natural.
@@MrBentalton777 No, it is that the translation is bad. For example when Rover says "Down with the curtain!" it sucks, most english translations would go like "Lights out!". when Baizhi says "talk is cheap, show me the action", that's a chinese saying that is equivallent to "less talk, more action" in english. A lot of the character lines are literal translation or just unreviewed google translation and it's very cringe. If you go to Genshin fandom and look at the voice-overs in chinese then look at the google translation beneath the words, you'll see the same kind of bad lines that wuwa has. Skill translations with the obnoxious "deepen" term, which no one ever uses in english to refer to any type of game system ever, it's so bad that it reminds me of the badly translated leaked Perfect World skill descriptions (the CN version of that game was months ahead of the rest)
As for the downgrade of the game's intro, it's trash, I finished the current story line already and acts 4 and 5 are great, but nothing in the current story line is incompatible with the previous intro other than Yangyang getting the corona virus, which could easily be worked around. The crownless being introduced as a powerful aggressive opponent was SO GOOD, the current intro is "genshified" as in "got way too sanitized for no reason whatsoever so it becomes bland and not serious". The girls getting anxious and suspicious of the Rover was also a great thing
"Unleash the something" and "Something Follows" are 2 other terms that most good english translations avoid, because we don't speak like that in english, it makes sense, but sounds unnatural.
@@figloalds what you think is bad translation is in fact not bad translation as many things can be said many different ways and all are correct bad translation would be something that does not make sense in english as in something that no one would understand. well all of what you have said i perfectly understand especially in context as i have heard native english speakers say the same things in plays in america. in the previous version of the intro it made 0 sense for chixia to be hostile to the mc when her friend clearly wasnt chixia was the only hostile one in the group which made no sense whatsoever. also the crownless still is a powerful opponent lore wise. you dont seem to understand what genshified even is when literally nothing in ww is made for babies which is what genshin is. also in the previous version cutscene it was more cheesy with the mc dialogue.
@@MrBentalton777 it is bad translation, if you go to any older genshin impact character wiki and Chinese voice overs, look at elemental skill and burst voicelines, you'll see that those lines in that phrasing may make sense and sound good in Chinese, but in english it sounds bad. And specially lines like "Misery follows", no one phrases english in this manner, it sounds just as it is: Text that was badly translated from Chinese
Crownless doesn't look menacing at all in the new cutscene. It looks even less menacing after being beaten by a amnesiaed lv 1 Rover and the people around Rover not being impressed at all by it. Chixia posture might be kinda out of proportion, but Baizhi's reservation was a very nice touch
@@figloalds yes people do use the phrase"misery follows" seen it in american games as well as games that use old english use phrases like that as well. again just because you do not like the way something is written DOES NOT mean its bad translation as it literally isnt.

weII yes, it started with genshin, since most casuals starts from pIaying that.. I pIayed gacha years before genshin, I nver seen these things until the community of genshin.
@@BaschBarragesame. I also play other gacha game like otome game, music rhythm and turned base . Never have any big drama that time. It was quite peaceful and people having fun until genshin came out.

@@skyhart9926 It's doing well in korea, he doesn't have a source, most likely he heard some info and ran with it without doing the work himself. Genshin made 60mil on launch wurthering waves made close to 55mil (converted to usd of course). So yeah, it's more than just the west.
Genshin is still the top dog because WW doesnt have enough content yet.

Yeah imagine comparing a game that just came out to one thats been out for 4 years. Meanwhile wuthering fans were saying it was the genshin ender BEFORE the game came out. The irony is amazing. I love it.
