Thanks for uploading this video, Uncle Charlie is a testimony of God's grace and mercy. Seek him first and his righteousness and all other things will be added to you. By following God's will in The Holy Bible. Romans 10:9

No matter how far he goes he is a proud Tulsa, Oklahoma product of Booker T Washington high school. Daddy was a preacher. In those days early 70s Booker T ruled in football. The won state every year seems like for years. Don't forget Wayman Tisdale Boomer Sooner and bass playing extravaganza whose Daddy was also a preacher. Who was another Booker T Washington standout on the basketball court.. They got it from church like all the great ones.. So what's that say about church it is the foundation where all this talent comes from. I first saw the GAP band at Tulsa speedway fall of 1973. They were the last act for the day as we suffered from the glistening sun. And when I heard Charlie sing I thought this guy sounds like a mixture of Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway. There first album didnt really set the place on fire. But when they came out with the burn rubber and oops upside the head it was on from then on. We caught them at the Brady Theater in Tulsa and the whole family where on the stage singing
The Mother, the sister. And his brother on the bass was walking back and forth across the stage killing that bass. But you can thank Leon Russell for discovering them and giving them their big break. Another great Oklahoman. LB 2021
