Buon giorno cara Ann ... wonderful. Is your Mom Calabrese by any chance? Thank you very much for subscribing to my channel and for taking the time to write me. Bacioni bella. xx
Grazie Coreen - I did a video with Gabriella too. My 2'nd granddaughter. I have 5 - and 2 grandson's ... I wish I could do more - but with the lockdown now, it will have to wait.
Grazie Barb. You can't beat lasagne - so good! And nice when you have company because you can do all the work beforehand, and then enjoy your company! xx
Yes, many here in Italy also put ricotta. And we could say that almost everyone puts mozzarella. Many, for example, add Béchamel sauce. But as usual and as for other typical dishes, in every family there is a different method, a different version, and they put different ingredients. You never find a “standard” dish that is the same in all of Italy. Each region, each small village, but we should say each family, has its own way, has its own version. In the end everyone makes it according to the tradition of his family.
Here, for example, Nonna Mia put the minced meat separately. Usually the minced meat is placed in the tomato sauce. And so as I said, everyone has their own method.
Love this video and love the grandchildren joining Nonna Mia xo
Was even more fun doing it with Emily & Gabriella. After the lockdown, we'll have to do more. xx
Only Italian ladies make cooking that much fun!

Beautiful Nonna and Emily. I didin't know that you could put uncooked pasta
Grazie cara Angela - yes, this is a specific no pre-boil lasagne sheet. You couldn't do that with regular sheets though. Buon Natale!
Aww how sweet! Love watching her❤️❤️
Grazie bella - soon my birthday is coming up! Near Easter. :-) xx
Surprised that she did not make the pasta sheets
You’re right bella. I usually do. I demonstrate my hand made pasta in other videos like farfalle… the sheets are the same. Thank you for writing me.
This looks delicious! Is the recipe somewhere? Anxious to try making it.
Grazie cara. As with all my videos, open up the description box. You’ll find the recipe there enjoy!
Love it!
Thank you Maryellen!
This looks delicious, why no ricotta cheese ?
Grazie … it’s just how we have always made it. 🤗
OMG!
Grazie!

@@theonewhoseeksfinds4547 grazie mille bella. I actually buy our meat from the city. Miliken Meats packs it nicely for us - and has great quality.
